You can take it all for R3000

The power indicator has terminals for power for the inverter and the other is for eskom power, has a setting that if mains switches off then it will, signal the smart controller to switch off. You need both units to do this.

I am keen if it's still available 
 

Is the pv cables from the solar panels in plastic conduit? If so you need a qualified solar installer to redo the system

I tried doing calculations  and worked out that  I can do 10 panels in series on string 1 (mppt1)and 8 panels in series on string 2 (mppt2).
does this look right?

Finally took the plunge and did my installation,  did it over a few days , made a few mistakes . Today was the day that I got to power it all up only to find  the axpert  had a failure,  no ac output. Rushed off to the supplier and got it swopped out and 30 min later the system finally came alive. Thank you to Coulomb  for the info and a big thank you to Suly for assisting  with advice and programming.

Which 5kva Axpert uses direct cable to let the bms call the shots? Will the Sol-I-ax-5p do it

1: you get what you pay for
2: buying yourself you can choose what you want and where to buy from. The 2 units you mention do work but are not pure sine wave inverters. I have the 2000va unit running for about 3 or 4 yrs now with the same batteries , think i was just lucky with this
3: these systems cant really be upgraded

You have breakers and fuses on your battery cables? As far as I know you only need fuses there, fuses will blow quicker than the cb 

You need to split the neutrals as well
