On the beta version you can add time slots and then the charge/discharge is controlled by this function. Ie. at 4pm the battery must be @ 80%  soc if not it will move to grid, at 5pm it must be at 90% soc etc... and you can add as many time slots as you want..

Are you not just better off getting another battery to absorb the extra pv and discharge at night to off set it?

Double check is blue not your load? If so there is an interesting load spike just after the pv drops.. It maybe a case of the inverter going into bypass mode as the load was to high of pv/invert..
I can't remember what the max pv use is on the Kodak og plus but I recall it's less than the 5kw the invert can deal with. Should have reset asftrr the peak in any case so there is still and issue, even if this theory is correct.

All the above is just guess work..

Hey guys, I got a notice of an update yesterday on the Solis app. It seems there is a second back up soc setting. I've not had a change to check how it works and what it refers to..
Seems to only be available via Bluetooth. And it's under smart load tab. I'm hopefully that is the non essential soc cut off..
Please let me know if anyone else has figured it out or has had coms with Solis regarding..

I can confirm this first hand. Wimpie was a superstar during my issues with a Kodak unit. Pushing the supplier with the best interest of the end user at heart.
Long story short Wimpie, recommend the solis unit and I can say, I couldn't be happier. The unit itself is great and the customer support is absolutely brilliant. Replied in a few hours, a call when requested... Truly first world customer service...
A company and product that in years to come will take over the market....

Sam79 got a reaction from Scorp007 in Axpert King 5KW only giving 50% of the potential of solar arrays?
@John, yes I've got a kadok 3.6kw battery. Which is setup with coms to the inverter and solar assistant directly.
I have noticed the battery charge amps are total different if I compare the inverter battery charge reading (20amp) to battery input reading (50amps). Which only goes to confirming my inverter is miss reading pv input and that is having a knock on effect.
If I don't have a load and the sun is going for it, my battery bms reads 2900w - 3100w input vs 1800w - 2100w pv input from the inverter.... All abit messed up. Truth be told I which I had just spent the extra cash and gone sunsynk...

Thanks for the advise. I've changed the config today but the weather is so bad it's difficult to see if everything works fine.. Underload I'm staying around 65volts, sowithin the range of the mppt 60-115v.
Fingerscross it helps to lower the bus voltage on a sunny day...

Sam79 got a reaction from CobusK in Geyser solution for my system
    Hi Oelof,
I have a 5kw inverter with 6 x 600watt panels and like you we don't use much power about 12kw a day. I've put a standard R200 1500watt element in my geyser and set the astute cbi timer to only work from 10:15 to 4pm, turned the thermostat up and have hot water 24/7...cooler in the morning but we just work around that. Also with the newer astute timer it can pick up on the weather and delay the timer on rainy days etc... Pretty useful to maximize the solar vs grid demand.
The geyser on the solar is a massive plus as it's a pretty constant load so you'll produce loads more kw from your solar.
Hope this helps you and others...
