Sunsynk 3 phase CT coil

Featured Replies

@shovelhead,

It would appear that the green (L1) phase's CT coil is reversed. You can fix it in 2 ways. 1) Unclip the offending CT coils from the L1 phase and turn it around (It has an arrow on it, which should point in the direction of the Inverter). or 2) Open the Inverter cover and swop the 2 wires of the offending CT coil around where it plugs into the inverter.

I experienced exactly your problem on a brand new 12kW Deye 3ph install (not mine), and had to get the Electrician out to fix something he should know in his sleep.

FAIK, the single phase and 3 ph CT coils are the same.

Thanks @Sidewinder, any ideas how the inverter would be reacting to the swapped CT coil? Negative values usually means feedback into the grid, but if it's swapped and negative? ...🤔

1. 3ph Sunsynk ct coil if 100A(primary) flows through the core 1A(secondary) will be sent to the inverter. Ct ratio 100:1

2.Single phase Sunsynk 120A(primary) through the core 40ma(secondary)will be sent to the inverter. Ct ratio 2000:1

That is how i understand the ct ratios between 3ph and single phase Sunsynk inverters.

@shovelhead,

Let your friend check his GRID screen. If he has any red CT numbers, as in pick below, then CT's are reversed. (provided he's not actually setup the inverter to feedback to the grid - but not feeding back into the grid is the default, and not a lot of people are doing that)
