Hi, I have 5x3kw batteries and 2x2kw batteries. The problem I have is that the batteries are charged 100% in the evening, but around 4am they run out. This never happened before. The batteries were not bought all at the same time. some are older than the others. I am told that the batteries don't communicate with each other and I need to update the software/firmware.

Any suggestion welcome .....

You need to give the forum more information to be able to constructively assist.

1.Battery manufacturer and model.

2. Inverter manufacturer and model.

3. Your load profile.

I would not recommend mixing batterys like that can just think strange things will start happening as the pack starts to run down.

How do you know the batterys are fully charged 100% as you not communicating with cable and so you using volts for setup ?

Inverter - Mecer 5.5kw x2

Feedback is that apparently, I need to update the firmware. Can anyone help me with the firmware/ software for these batteries please?

@GMAC - Thank you, will disconnect the 2x 2kw batteries immediately. Display on the batteries shows 100%

Pylontech you can mix the different size batteries. I have 3 Us3000 and 2 UP 5000 connected together. Newest always the master battery. For software just search on the forum. It is available

The battery with the highest serial number is the newest, and must be the master.
