Help with Deye 50kW

I recently installed a 50kW 3 phase Deye for my father in law here in an incredibly rural part of Mozambique. We have 68x 615w Canadian solar panels providing the PV for this inverter.

We do not have any batteries yet, and as such when the grid switches off, so does the inverter.

I was hoping to get the forums opinions and thoughts with the following.

  1. My father in law has gotten an interest into getting a wind turbine to complement this setup, particularly the tesup 10kw. After some searching on this forum and others it seems like this is a terrible investment to make. We have average wind speeds of 3-6 m/s and we are using about 15-22kW. So my current understanding is that our first priority should be batteries for now.

  2. We are monitoring our system with solarman, but once we have batteries, what is the most painless solution for my father in law to get notified when the grid is off? We have WiFi at the house (starlink) but no cell signal.

  3. The big draws on the property are two 7.5kw 3 phase pumps that run mostly around the clock. In the event of a grid failure, we would like to switch these off. The issue is that they are on the farm, about 200-250m or so from the installation site of the inverter. So I am struggling to come up with an effective solution for this.

For shutting off the pumps in the even of grid failure, how about a contactor that drops the pumps power if they grid fails?

We would like to preserve some loads during a grid outage such an water oxygenation system and security lights, among other things, so no I do not believe so.

Maybe use the gen port for it?(smart load output) If you are not using it for something else.

My only ideas are this, which would involve buying and running 200m of ABC cable from the inverter to the pumps breakers on the farm, or running a cable from the generator start terminals in the inverter to something that, when it receives the generator start signal when the grid stops, disconnects the pumps from the farm.

Remote relay setup could work as well,

Had a pump that supplied our home with water. About 300M remote RF setup with relay to turn it on and off

This sounds perfect, do you have links to the particular product or is it something you fashioned yourself out of parts available online?

What about Phase-Loss Relay + Contactor

This method ensures the pumps turn off automatically when the grid fails, without needing long control wires or wireless signals.

Components Needed:

1. Phase-Loss Relay (Voltage Monitoring Relay)

Detects grid power failure and sends a signal to cut power.

Choose a 3-phase model rated for your voltage (e.g., 400V).

2. 3-Phase Contactor

Rated for at least 40A-50A at 400V to handle the 7.5kW pump load.

Normally closed (NC) auxiliary contact can trigger alarms if needed.
