Battery losing charge instantly

Featured Replies

Good day everyone.

I need help with a battery issue I have been experiencing in recent weeks. The battery is losing charge at an unusual rate. For example, this morning the SOC was on 46% at 3:59 am and at 4:09 am it was down to 1%, despite the demand was below 10%. The battery is 3 years old. It was happened last year Feb and they took it but the problem resurfaced in recent weeks. Any advice or insight into what causes this sudden drop in performance will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Is it a lead acid battery? If so, your inverter has probably been excessively draining it day after day, and 3 years is all you can expect from those conditions.

Winter is a tough time for batteries too.

I concur with @Coulomb, but if it's a Lithium battery, best is to get a cable and connect it to a laptop in order to get granular information regarding the various cells making up the battery, one pack or cell may be damaged or even more.

Please give more information about the battery: Is it lithium or lead acid? Capacity?
