June 5, 20197 yr Hi all, A few months ago I got myself a Hoymiles 600W Solar Grid-Tie Micro Inverter with two Canadian Solar 355W Poly KuMax Half-Cell 35mm Frame panels. Very happy with these. Now it seems the 355W panels are sold out everywhere. I started looking at the 400W model. Can anyone tell me if I'll blow up the inverter using those? Hoymiles states 0.76 kW max input. Or does anyone know of an affordable supplier that does have stock of the 355W panels? Thanks

June 5, 20197 yr Hi Bert There is a company in Durban area (New Germany) called Artsolar (https://artsolar.net/pv-modules/) they have 330w panels and 350 watt mono panels. I bought 4x 330w panles from them. They do couriers as well. P.S. With micro inverters you don't have to mach the panel sizes. Edited June 5, 20197 yr by Greglsh
June 5, 20197 yr Author Thanks guys! So not the 400W then. I did see the Artsolar panels as well. Looks good. Price good as well. A friend told me parts are produced abroad and panels assembled locally. However, when I looked at ordering them only shipment method listed was 'Collect in Durban'. @Greglsh What did you pay for shipment if I may ask? I'm in Pretoria.

Hi Bert I paid R365 for delivery, I am in Durban but could not collect. Have you tried to add the panels to the cart, then checkout, it ask for a delivery address. Otherwise give them a call.

Thanks You must just make sure the max voltage of the panel does not exceed the max input voltage allowed per port on the microinverter. If the voltage is in the allowed range, a larger panel should be no problem - it just may mean you have some power clipped at certain times.
May 26, 20206 yr Would also wonder at which angle the panels will be installed. If it's pointing away from north, it's unlikely to reach full power.
