January 14, 20206 yr Good Day all. I installed 6 x 275w panels 2 x 3 panels in series then then connected in parallel to supply 100v to inverter. Started up the system and load distributed to supply AC to house and charging the battery. My problem is when battery was fully charged it stop the pv power and only ran on battery. When battery power was completed the system shut down. Can some one help me with the correct settings for synapse inverter 5k 48v Battery is a Pylontech Lithium Ion Battery US2000B Plus 48V 50A 2.4KWH,

Can you post a picture of the label on the side? You could only run it at half power for short bursts, quarter power continuously, and at quarter power it would only last some 24 minutes.

January 14, 20206 yr Ok, it actually looks legit. What is your value for setting 31, Solar power balance? It should be SbE, which used to be the default, but maybe it no longer is. I've never understood the purpose of this setting.
January 15, 20206 yr Author Hi Coulomb It is running and alternating between battery and solar. At 54v PV shut down and battery take over till 51v then Pv charge battery again. Can the inverter be set to use solar directly till solar power supply is to low then only use the battery.

These inverters never strictly speaking use solar "directly"; they use solar to charge the battery, and the battery charges the load. If there is enough solar power, the power more or less does power the load directly, because the output of the solar charger is at a slightly higher potential than the battery. So for all intents and purposes, as long as you have enough solar power for the load and losses, the solar powers the load. Towards the end of the day, as the solar power fades and slips below the loads, the battery starts contributing a little, then more, and eventually supplies the whole load by sundown. This is presumably what you want.
March 13, 20206 yr Good day I’m currently at my client and I’ve installed 3x 5.0k+ in parallel (synapses inverter) but one inverter doesn’t change to Parallel and stayed on single it doesn’t link in parallel with others but the 2 others does link in parallel.. what can i do please?

It turns out that Axpert Kings (@Tiron, this is a King, right?) don't have setting 31, and furthermore it defaults to disabled. But you can set it back with PSPB1. Details in this AEVA post (not one of mine).

If the PV icon is present on the LC Display, it means that the SCC has power (from panels), is communicating with the DSP (inverter's processor), and is happy with the PV voltage (not too high or too low). At least, if the Synapses are genuine (not clones), and I'm 95% sure that recent models are. So then it could be settings, though you'd have to have very unusual settings to never see any charge current. Are you seeing non-zero PV power (INPUT, PV and W showing on a data page)? Is that power around 80% of nominal panel power near noon with no shade? If yes to both the above and there is no charging of the battery, it could just be that the loads exceed your panel power.
November 8, 20214 yr Hi all. I have exactly the same inverter. How do I set the inverter to run in bypass mode when utility is on but also charge the battery at the same time? Please note I do not have solar at the moment. Also I need it to switch to battery automatically when the utility goes off.

You want something like Uti output source priority (setting 01; it might be called something else, like USB), so that loads run off the utility when present. Then you just need to enable utility charging; that's setting 16, charger source priority or solar energy priority, depending on the model. Choose one of the settings with UCB in it (Utility is allowed to Charge the Battery), or SNU (Solar and Utility can charge the battery together, which will obviously be utility only if you don't have solar yet). If you're using monitoring software like Watchpower or ICC, then you won't see setting numbers like 01 and 16, but there will be equivalents somewhere to achieve the same result (and which ultimately make those same settings changes on your behalf).
November 20, 20214 yr I have a synapse5.0+ inverter with a 4.8kw Lithium Ion battery, when the utility goes off and it provides power from the battery, i get error 4 code on the screen (low battery) but the battery is fully charged, even tho it keeps supplying power to my house for 2 hours +from the battery, is this normal or how can i fix this, thank you
March 30, 20224 yr Hi synse 3.0v+ inverter and two 420 w solar panels and two 12v batteries but now my problem is that it doesn't do anything it shows that the batteries are charging and fully charged only to learn that it never charged at all it just says batteries are low and I struggle to program it to PV only because where I stay there is no electricity please assist

Two 420 W panels in series is possibly too much voltage, especially if it really is a PWM model. Try wiring the panels in parallel instead of in series. Edit: that's assuming that they are currently in series. Does the PV icon come on at all? As you press the up or down buttons, you should come to a page that shows the PV voltage. May 6, 20233 yr Hi please help keep getting error 3 and can not get setting 16 to stay on cue also there is utility power put it does not read it coming in if you switch on/off inverter several times it starts to work synapse 5.0+
