New battery bank

Hi guys.

I am going to be buying a new battery bank. 24v. I'm looking to spend around 20k on this bank. I'm looking for batteries that will give me the most bang for buck.

I can get 8 trojan t105re for around that price. Does anyone have any other suggestions. My other option is 4 narada 12NDT200. But I can not find what the life span of these would be in daily cycles. Considering I would be cycling them ever day

Any suggestions would help.

Ya. From what I've read is the naradas are back up batteries. And not ment for daily cycles.

So I've kinda decided of trojans over narada.

Is there anything better than the trojans for my price range

Last year I was in contact with a guy called Jan Vlok who refurbishes batteries (mostly forklift batteries) as well as import batteries. The batteries he sells is called "Eternity Technologies" and the specs looked impressive. Forklift batteries I think they were, they were rated 550Ah at C5 and had cycle lifes of 3000 at 50% or something like that... can't remember exactly. Now last year I was looking at around 32k for a 24V bank of that Ah rating. Guaranteed this has changed significantly... however, won't hurt to ask. His email is [email protected].

Found him through an ad in the Landbou Weekblad :-) He also advertises a lot on OLX. Don't know the guy at all, but his prices were the only ones that could beat the Trojans at the time.

Failing that (a nice set of 2V cells), I'd probably go with the Trojans too.

Hi, I would personally go for 200Ah AGM Lead Acid as they have a long life expectancy or a Gel 150Ah,200ah or 250Ah as they have a 15 yr life cycle but are better in cooler

enviroments (25 degree cel)  my fav are the gels. AGM has a higher temperature handle rate.
