Good morning all. My Raspberry Pi 4 is noisy, I am sure it is the cooling fan. Is it a simple procedure to replace it, and does anyone know the size/part number and where to get them from? And if I switch my Pi off will the solar system revert to the previous settings with the Axpert Inverters? If I could know I had the correct fan motor I am sure it will be a quick job.

Pi Fans do differ ever so slightly from case to case, so depending on the Pi case in question, it might differ slightly, but most are 25X25 X 7mm 5VDC

Hi Paul, depends on the fan and case that you have? I have one of these https://www.diyelectronics.co.za/store/accessories/2670-raspberry-pi-4-aluminium-case-with-dual-cooling-fans.html, and notice that the one fan does become noisy at times, removing and reconnecting the GPIO solves the issue.

Is the noisy fan consistent?

I installed a resistor in the wire to the fan. The noise level is a lot better and PI temp at 46 C.
