Guest
Why dont you just use the normal usb cable to connect it to the inverter. Infini does have usb and serial. Do you have the correct port selected? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk Thanks for your response I am using USB connection already with USB port of inverter but now I am gonna make a connection with RS232 ports of inverter to USB of my PC when I plugged my RS232 USB into PC a message appears that WINDOWS CANNOT RECOGNIZED YOUR INPUT DEVICE. So what's the solution and how can I connect it? Sent from my QMobile A6 using Tapatalk
Guest
Seems like n driver issue. Go to device manager and have a look at any yellow triangle. If one apear is might be it . Delete it or right click , go to properies and click driver then update driver Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

riogrande75
Sounds like this issue: http://hackaday.com/2014/10/22/watch-that-windows-update-ftdi-drivers-are-killing-fake-chips/ Just install a old driver (at least 2 yrs), then you will see, it works. Guest
What are the chances that you can only use one of the ports on the inverter at a time?

If it was me, the one is likely a MAX232 chip wired to an internal (ttl level) uart, while the usb plug is a usb->ttl converter wired to the same uart. You could use both simultaneously, if you can get either side to shut up while the other is talking. It wouldn't be a good idea though... :-) viper_za

As I recall, the Axpert doesn't even have enough for what it does, and uses bitbanging to communicate with the SCC from the main controller :-) (bitbanging, when you fake serial coms by programatically twiddling a GPIO pin). They bit-bang to talk to the LCD display. (I don't know about the buttons.) CAN (Controller Area Network) is used for paralleling comms. ___
___
Ah yes. I knew SOMETHING was using bit banging but forgot what. I heard from a reputable source that big blue is also moving to CAN for the parallel and three phase stuff. Just less ways to get things wrong :-) Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
