August 6, 20215 yr I have shown my setup - what happens if load shedding kicks in with these settings? Will the inverter only allow battery to discharge to the set min ? Should I turn off the use timer when load shedding is planned? another question - I have my CT coil installed - if load shedding and zero watts coming from grid, will inverter still send to non-essential circuit or does it know to only supply essential circuit ?
August 6, 20215 yr Hi Andrew, since you don't have any solar panels, you are wasting electricity by charging and then discharging the batteries ( energy losses in the battery ), so just stick to un-ticking the use timer. it will only supply to essential without grid
August 6, 20215 yr Author Hi - on this config I do have solar - my setup objective is to charge during day with excess from solar - then prevent multiple discharge and charge during day by setting to 100% midday - running non-essentials in afternoon to use excess solar just not sure what happens when grid goes to zero and if I then need to untick or will inverter know to discharge batteries past the min SOC?
August 6, 20215 yr sorry about not following you, when there is no grid, the inverter will automatically power the essential loads from pv and/or battery, the battery will discharge to your shut down setting under the battery screen, I have Pylontech 2000's which I have set up to shut down at 15%.
August 6, 20215 yr Author Thanks Tariq! Was hoping so - would be pain in Ass if had to remember to untick the user timer every time

Keeping the battery at 100% is supposedly not healthy.
