  1. I think it's difficult to get p.v panels with higher voc than 52v , if you decide to have 4 panels ,then it's OK to be in the limits 150v-200v
  2. thank you Youda for your quick response, it's probably as you mentioned a hardware issue (BMS). I will try to contact dealer , it's a 3 months only passed since purchased. !!
  3. @Youda Can you or some one else help me in getting the upgrade file of Pylontech UF5000 . I have an issue with the battery hoping the upgrade will solve it . Battery is giving alarm at startup (pressing the red switch) for few seconds with 3 of 5 of the lends is on .? then goes to totally shutdown . . Thank you in advance

This issue could be due to opamp circuit reading the voltage of solar panels . Your inverter is reading above threshold limits which could be above 500v . If you are a technician you can follow the series resistors reading the pv voltage and check the +ve and -ve voltages applied to tl072 op-amp .
  5. For me I prefer to replace the whole set of capacitors around the regulator 7912 , as each time I face this fault and measure those capacitors they give lower uF value than real value even if not bulged.
  6. Is it possible to replace the fans with another of higher amper value in order to have more efficient cooling if the originals are 0.3 A newer are 0.6 A ?
  7. Don't worry at all , it's like if ur inverter is 5kw while ur consumption is 1 or 2 KW . The most important how will he arranged the 5.6kw panel array to fit on 2 mppt's of 8kw hyprid inverter .
  8. I got you , yes you are right . !! Thankyou .
  9. That would be at peak time only ,but not at all the day , in other words when panels are at maximum power only . Isn't it??
  10. Well , then it would be nice to try this solution .
  11. Thank you Coulomb for your explanation , some one advised me to install an mc4 diode in series with pv cables out of inverter to (block) this voltage coming out of inverter , would that solution be effective ?
  12. I think this actually happens in all inverters of 450_500V . , but not on 145v inverters !!
  13. We also use BurnDown, Thumpers, Scopes and Locators. Very handy indeed. This is what also could be found in cable fault locator , Megger or other brands .
  14. Hi scorp007 New inverters have mppt power even more than its rated power 5kw !! Which may reach 6kw of solar panels .
  15. Thank you Coulomb for your reply , really I didn't get any informations regarding max. pv current even in user manual..That's why I was looking at this forum . Thankyou for informing about old 145v models which I guess will neglect any extra current above the designed value taking into consideration not to exceed max VOC.

Why in most of hyprid inverters like Axpert or MPPsolar maximum input pv current isn't shown in inverter label , does it mean no matter how it would be ? For ex. In 5kW hyprid inverter of 5KW solar panels can be installed of 2 strings in order to avoid reaching max.Voc . So I was wondering not to exceed the max. mppt input current , which is not mentioned in datasheet also . edit* image is just an example.

  18. FlThe battery bulk and float charging values voltage will be set automatically if the battery type is chosen as AGM or floaded or even gel . But if User is selected then correct values according to battery manufacturer datasheet is to be respected.
  19. Actually ,It depends upon the specifications of mppt , most of those I have seen is 450v , so taking in consideration the variation in voc that may occur due to differences in voltage produced in different seasons which may exceed the 450v . So for safe factors prefered to have +50v as ( margin) .
  20. In order to determine the max. No of panels , it's necessary to note down the voc of your panel and try not to exceed 400v for all series panels in any string . We have found 500Wp panels of different VOCs in market, some of hi VOC ,while others of higher current .
