    No ,that is what he quoted from someone else as far as i understand. Its not what he said ,because i quoted it from his post it looks like he said it lol. This is a pretty common issue ,the figures displayed by the Sunsynk are not totally accurate and often there will be a missing 200-300w when solar is active.

    Not sure who this quote is from but they obviously have no clue what is going on. The non essentials have absolutely zero impact on overloading of the inverter as it does not go through the inverter. To add to that the picture they sent you is combined essential and non essential loads of only 5,1kw . I can generate a picture like that with a much larger load and the inverter wont be overloaded so using that picture as an argument is silly.

    They are talking rubbish. The inverter has protection incase of overloading . Even if it did break with an overload it should be covered under warranty.
  4. Different programs make the graph look slightly different . This is 100% normal for Pylon's.

  6. Andy has made a few videos on that specifically . If you start earlier(in the flat part of the curve) it will unbalance the cells over time. You do not want to balance in the flat part of the curve.
  7. I agree ,as consumers we should be doing more research about the capabilities of these systems before purchasing them. Basically every company uses marketing tricks like these in this day and age (sadly).
  8. Sounds like you have a communication issue between inverter and battery. Check your LiBMS page on inverter to see if it shows you stuff like SOC and temperature ,if not your comms is not working and should be checked according to the battery manual.
  9. So i was not incorrect haha . I wonder if they only give this 'upgraded' firmware to allow higher DOD for the people that complain,it wouldn't surprise me considering how they set it up to count cycles.
  10. Interesting ,so they are implying that the batteries were not balanced,let us know if that makes a difference! Changing the voltage values on the inverter wont do anything if you are using BMS comms btw.
  11. Its not something you will be able to do without voiding your warranty for one ,secondly i think you need a password to be able to change parameters on the BMS. So not much you can do about it unfortunately . The NMC chemistry is not as happy with very low SOC like LFP which is most likely why its programmed that way.
  12. This behavior is due to the programming in the batteries BMS. You can see that below 20% its requesting a force charge(on LiBMS screen) What this means is that if there is any other power source like solar or grid the battery wont go below 20%. Force charge will over ride your system mode settings and charge up the battery from the grid till it reaches its minimum set SOC(in the BMS) .The only way you would get around this is by not using BMS comms or by reprogramming the BMS.

  14. SOH is listed in the event and history log in Batteryview you have to download the files. Also just FYI SOH is not a sure way to tell the health of a battery as it can be reset with a firmware update.
  15. I am talking more about the LFP chemistry in general. They do not have to be above 3,55V to balance thats the absolute max they go to in a very balanced pack. As you can see in @Tinbum Images they start balancing pretty low at 3,36V if the delta is more than 30mV. The reason you want to be at the more steep part of the curve @ 3,55v is that a small balancing current makes a much bigger difference at this voltage than at the 3,4 range.
  16. It will not effectively balance the packs no. As an example say you have a new battery which comes at 50% SOC and parallel that to a 80% SOC battery , they wont balance fully as there is not a big enough voltage difference for current to flow. You want to balance packs the same way you would when balancing the cells inside a pack and that is by charging them up to 3,55V-3,65V a cell.
  17. You are making the same mistake as in the Luxpower thread from the other day. Connecting the batteries together on their own with no charging source will not balance them,they will only slightly balance between each other if you have a major SOC difference due to the flat charge curve of LFP. The correct way is to connect them and charge them up even if they have SOC difference , the packs balance between themselves at 89% SOC. The reason for these over voltage issues in the beginning is because the (15) cells in a pack is not yet full balanced. 53,2V is not too high . Its too high if your specific inverter overshoots this value . You need that higher voltage to keep the cells in a pack balanced . If its overshooting with CAN comms you may need to switch to voltage settings and dial the voltage in so you get 53,2V at the batteries BMS. Sunsynk had this issue a while ago where it was overshooting to 53,5-53,6V. They have since corrected this in a firmware update and now it never goes over 53,15V ,absolute most 53,2V. I would just keep using CAN comms and cycle those batteries more. The cells in that pack will balance out over time.
  18. Thats potentially part of the problem , it may be relying too much on that . It should work 100% without ANY comms. Many people only use voltage without BMS comms. Some people have many different batteries operating together(Andy from off-grid garage as example) and the only way to do that is via voltage.
  19. Sadly i think the Pylon BMS is just very outdated at this point,i doubt they have done much in terms of development over the years to improve it , if you look at the latest BMS's in the market they offer lots more flexibility and features . JK , Seplos v3 ect

  21. How was these batteries wired up ? Do the logs of the other batteries also show those 50-60A discharge currents ? It almost seems like your packs were not sharing current equally as 60Ax3 would be a 180A draw which would be very unlikely from your two inverters. It doesn't look like the overcharging bothered it as much as those large currents. Your batteries are very much under spec for the system as the three of them are only rated for 87A continuous draw. Edit* I have also seen on other forums that Victron inverters can be quite Amp heavy and they recommend over-sizing the battery bank.
  22. You can put those 8 panels on one MPPT no problem. You do not have to use both MPPT's.
  23. Post some pics of your battery settings on the inverter aswell as your LiBMS screen.
