One Power Station to rule them all...
My mom lives in George... not sure if that's "your neck of the woods"? But she's planning on taking it to "someone recommended by the people in her retirement village" so we'll see. Thanks

One Power Station to rule them all...
So it turns out, the ONT already has it's own mini ups... so, solution is for just a 32" tv and media box.

One Power Station to rule them all...
So, an update on the situation... Turns out the inverter is toast... Which is the reason things aren't so rosy at they moment. Will look at the inverter above and see if it'll suit. Thanks

One Power Station to rule them all...
Is there one portable power station (brand/model) that stands out above the others? I'm looking for a solution for my mother who's battling with her Mecer inverter with 2 lead acid batteries... The solution works, but, the 4 hour sessions are worrying her for battery life... Essential she want to be able to run her TV, with router/modem/ONT for the full 4 hours, and not have to worry about battery degradation. And cost is an ongoing concern.

1kW Caravan Inverter/Charger
This is what I'm after... not necessarily to be off grid, even at a site with power, BUT, that would be a massive bonus. NOW to find something "small" that I can stealth install. 🤔

1kW Caravan Inverter/Charger
Thanks guys... It's super simple to rather have 2 lines in a caravan, rather than a "massive" inverter, or a "popping" inverter. Can still charge the batteries from a smaller inverter.

1kW Caravan Inverter/Charger
I have an off-road caravan (conqueror Companion) and I'm looking to add a small inverter to it (purely to make coffee) when off-grid... for usability. The Axpert VM1 has been recommended, but I'm looking for something a little smaller, that I can "hide" in some of the voids in the caravan.... Can anyone suggest other options? Something else to add... it needs to allow higher loads to "pass through" when connected to the grid.

Sunsynk data logger
damn... now that IS a pity...

Sunsynk data logger
I've just put in an order for the Sunsynk logger... My understanding is that it allows 2-way comms with the inverter, whereas the SolarMan is only a reader...

The new Sunsynk dongle
Eish.... looks like I'm going to lose everything on switch over. 😔

The new Sunsynk dongle
I'm seriously looking at getting the "new" dongle... am I able to export/import my Solarman data? For historical purposes.

Second FreedomWon 10/8 installation
Have a SunSynk 8kW.... and you're 100% right... you don't play with a R60k battery.

Second FreedomWon 10/8 installation
So, this morning I discovered that having ceiling fans running in 3/4 bedrooms all night, and rolling blackouts from 6-8:30 do NOT a good combination make... System shut down when the battery hit 19% 🙄 So, now I'm thinking... do I start seriously looking at a second battery? baring in mind, I'm currently consuming grid power from about 3am (due to my battery preservation settings), and I'm fully charge (in full sun) at about 11am. Thoughts? and is there more involved than just buying a second and connecting it (other than the balancing)?

Found the SoC selector... as you can see... the battery is fully charged... so I need to know why it's pulling from the grid, and not the battery!- Weird Sunsynk Power usage
Nothing... perfectly clear day... I'm just worried that, because this happens almost daily, that it's a sign of a "bigger" issue- Weird Sunsynk Power usage
