  1. Hi all I have a Deye 8KW inverter with 2x Hubble AM2 batteries. Deye connected to Solar Assistant. Solar Assistant connected to battery #1 via RS232, and the two batteries are connected via link cable. I also have a Cloudlink lying around here, currently not connected to the Deye as that slot is taken up by the cable to Solar Assistant. I cannot connect it to the main battery as the RS232 port is linked to Solar Assistant, but I can plug it into the second battery, but then it only sees that battery, ideally I would like it to see both, without losing the connection to Solar Assistant. Any ideas?
  2. last night I could get to the login screen but after logging in got a connection failed error, this morning I could not even get to the site. Now I can get to the site again, login goes further sits with spinning wheel thingy for long then it goes in. Classifieds next I guess.
  3. Hubble clearly gave up on this product after selling to many unsuspecting buyers. Where do we send this box back to for a refund? No development in the last year according to their own website and the monitoring site is down. 23 NOVEMBER 2022 Cloudlink Version 4.5.8
  4. Any users here of the mostly useless Cloudlink? I have no logged in there for probably a year, I now need to check my office setup but cannot get into the site? I have this: https://portal.riotsystems.cloud/login
  5. Great, price is similar, when I bought the local suppliers were almost double of Amazon. Note that the link is for 8 sensor version, Amazon landed price for the 16 sensor version is R4200 now, it was R2800 when I bought.
  6. If you need to source, look on Amazon, when I bought it was about R3k landed. Make sure you have sufficient space in your DB, remember it comes with 16 clamps, and those clamps are rather big, I eventually removed mine as it was impossible to work in the DB with it installed.
  7. Solar Assistant, one cable to plug in and it works. Home Assistant, well, install, configure, setup etc. This can a bit daunting for a non technical user.
  8. That's a lot more complex than running Solar Assistant.
  9. Just like I could not find the 8kw one 😀

  11. Look on Thingyverse, there are some prints there.
  12. R100k+ for the installation, how much do you save? SA cables works, costs either R299 or R499, yes it is probably hell expensive, but in the grand scheme of things very affordable.
  13. Yes that is correct, and then the battery remains at 40%, grid takes the load, and PV will do the charging when available.
  14. Pretty sure it works exactly as I am thinking, the grid charging is not enabled for any timeslot.
  15. Inverter firmware on the latest, it was done about 2 weeks ago. My settings are the same as yours, except I do not use grid charging, solar only. It is not really prioritising grid over battery, rather blending in shortfall from the grid instead of the battery, but only when the battery SOC is 100%, when the SOC if 70% for example it is working as expected.
  16. I have exactly this issue, no grid draw other than the 20w set in the inverter in the mornings when SOC is below 100%, within about 10min of SOC reaching 100% the grid draw starts and on the Solar Assistant graphs you can clearly see that no battery power is used, and when a bit extra is needed it is taken from the grid. Same as yours, very small amounts, but if you add it up it comes to over 4kw in a few hours, switching off the mains solves the problem, but that creates a second problem as the non-essential side then also stops working so killing the geysers heating up. For the attached graph, the grid draw started 7 minutes after 100 SOC was reached.
  17. Hi folks does anybody by any chance have a manual for the Fivestar FS-GP10KW inverter? Trying to work out how to connect the wifi dongle, it was delivered with the inverter (installer gone fishing), the dongle is there with what looks like an extension for the dongle, with an external power supply for the dongle as well, no ports underneath the inverter so I presume it must be plugged in inside the unit?
  18. Are you able to connect the Cloudlink to the Hubble AM-2 via the RS485 port on the AM2 if the RS232 port is not available? Deye 8KW inverter, splitter to link both Solar Assistant and Cloudlink to the inverter. Cloudlink power from the Hubble terminals.
  19. I have a Conlog prepaid, so cannot export, was just wondering about that setting. Yes, I have changed between load or battery, no difference.
  20. It is still not functioning as I am expecting, in my mind it is linked to the battery SOC, or maybe I am wrong. If you look at the attached graph, grid was effectively off, then suddenly it started blending in grid when the pv dropped, but the battery remained at 100%, mode at the time was Discharge above 50%, not sure if it is related, but this started about 15min after the battery reached 100% SOC. This is not a major issue, probably more an irritation but it does all add up over a day. Again my only reference is the Voltronic SBU mode which I ran for more than a year, and the grid line was flat 8 till 5pm. On the work mode settings there is a setting "Solar export when battery full', mine is disabled, could it be linked? What does that setting do?
  21. OK, cable was good, it was a dip switch, comms established.
  22. Running same version, don't see anything for automation either.
  23. I think it was the max PV setting in Solar Assistant, today so far it seems to be running as expected.
  24. Yeah thinking back, the installer did not ask me anything about the pin specs for the hubble, so I am not sure what they used but that is easy to check.
  25. I checked, no comms on the inverter, will check the pinouts tomorrow.
