You could wire up the Roboguard HQ ( or their alarm interface ) to your home alarm ( the roboguard system just looks like 4 more PIR/ Zones, or can be bundled together as a single zone if you dont have any more input s to your alarm ) if you have a Paradox / Magellan alarm, then homeassistant has a "Pai" plugin " Paradox alarm interface" which you can use with a USB/Serial dongle, or an ESP to get info from the alarm panel ( arm/disarm, check zone status, panic etc ) I *think* there might be something similar for DSC, but DSC use a silly bus system and not "simple" serial comms

Also heard about them via the owner ( bought some other batteries and transformers from them, great people ), Known them for years.. Keen to get my hands on and poke around inside. Will post some pictures when I do

The BMS looks like a PACE one ( like whats in hubble AM2, and CurrentConnected SOK and Jakiper ), you shuold be able to use PBMSTools to speak with it and change some protocols https://www.currentconnected.com/product/sk48v100/

For that Battery you should be able to use the "FLD" setting, I think you can only change battery types if the inverter is in standby mode ( switched off at the bottom rocker switch) how do you mean " understand" your battery ? in terms of "state of Charge" these inverters only sense the battery voltage and do a best guess from there, a Victron BMV 712 or similar energy meter should give you a much better idea of battery capacity and state of charge. sidenote : Where does one find these forklift batteries, or locomotive single lead acid cells for a decent price ?

I've used Opensprinkler in the past with HA, the local supplier seems to have stopped bringing them in, and we moved house, so I need a new one/ few more, so I made a few more using ESP32, need to finish enclosures and they should be ready, but code has been ported and they are running on my desk
