SunSynk - Inverter Monitoring
Hi All, I need some assistance. If setup the sunsynk-multi-addon in HA for a Sunsynk 8 kW inverter. I cannot seem to get a serial connection going. I've tested the cable with a SolarAssistant setup and it works there so the cable should be fine. I've also tried moving it over to the CAN port just in case it is a 2-in-1 port but no luck. Please see the link to the Github issue comment here: Github Issue I also worked through the fault finding page but have no success. Hopefully someone here might have some ideas as to what to do next? Thanks in advance.

SolarAssistant Timer Parameters via MQTT on HomeAssistant
Good day, Is it possible to access the timer interval start times via MQTT for a Deye inverter? I can see the actual capacity points but not the timer times? Not sure if you would need a separate config for that? The idea is to adjust the capacity points and times based on a home profile. Kind Regards, Neill

Solar Panel Production
What brand of panels do you have installed? Typically you can expect about 70-80% of you installed capacity as an actual maximum. It varies based on the seasons, weather and panel brands. I have also have a total installed capacity of around 5.5kw and my system peaks at 4.1kw during the day. In the summer time it was around 4.6 kw if I remember correctly. In short, the output sounds about right and it should improve slightly as we move into summer.

Datasheet for Qcells 460W panels
Awesome, thank you so much!

Datasheet for Qcells 460W panels
Does anyone perhaps have the datasheet for these panels? The only one I can find is for the Q.PEAK but they do not go to 460W. Thanks

Maximum PV on Deye Inverter 5 kW
Could not find the exact datasheet but something similar to this: They are QCell 460W panels with a black finish. I think its the Duo GL10 range.

Sunsynk vs Solarman app
To be honest stick with Sunsynk. It allows you to change setting and the interface is much nicer. I have a Deye inverter and had to use the Solarman app. The update frequency is 5 minutes but can apparently be set lower to 1 minute. Not that I could find the settings for it. I eventually bought a SolarAssistant kit which works extremely well. The update frequency is essentially live (2-5s). To use the Solarman integration you would also have to buy a Solarman dongle.

Maximum PV on Deye Inverter 5 kW
Thanks for this. Maybe a stupid question but where do I find the maximum Voc. There are a couple listed on the datasheet. Not sure which one is correct.

Maximum PV on Deye Inverter 5 kW
Good Day All, I have a 5kw Deye installed with 12 x 460 Qcell panels. As far as I am aware the maximum PV input is 6.5 kw. My question is this, is this maximum the installed capacity or is it the actual capacity? I'm getting max 4.1 kw from my panels so I was thinking of installing 4 additional 460 w panels. It will still be well below the maximum voltage per pv string though. Thanks in advance

Solar panel Voc and capacity issues
I would much rather take my problems over yours lol. Thanks for the help and explanation.

Solar panel Voc and capacity issues
This is essentially what I have installed. I climbed on the roof and verified the panels. The Voc still bothers me a bit though but I the calculation of the normal operating conditions essentially matches what I am seeing. Just a bit shocked that the actual vs nominal performace is so vastly different.

Solar panel Voc and capacity issues
Hi All I'm currently trying to determine whether I have an issue with my solar panels. The initial installation was supposed to be 12 x 460w (5.5 kw) panels, however, I'm contantly getting closer to 4kw total. The panels are arranged in 2 strings of 6 panels each. My rooftop is due north at a 30° angle and there are no trees that can cause shading issues in the middle of the day. Is this normal to see such a big deviation from theoretical capacity? I'm not 100% sure what panels I have but I know they are Qcell with a black finish. According to some of the datasheets you would expect a Voc of about 50v per panel at normal operating conditions. Therefore the total Voc per string should be about 300V however when I measure it it is only around 244V per string? The math tells me this is closer to 5 panels per string. Could it be possible that the installer installed panels of smaller capacity? Or could it be a connection issue? Or maybe it is what is expected in a typical setup. Thanks in advance.

Sunsynk logger with Deye inverter
Can you use a sunsynk data logger with a Deye inverter? Not the Solarman one but the actual SunSynk developed logger.

Shoto 5.1 kWh state of charge falling away
@GTP Yes that is correct. How did you know that the charging was being throttled? I've attached an image of the battery SOC for reference.
