The panels are in this place until I have my house build
Once that is done the panels will receive no shade due to the height and position of the house.
One question I only put the breaker would it be safe to connect a SPD aswell just in case ?

I started off a post on Solar setup and for some reason open up another on solar calculation .I have mixed the whole thing up thinking they where both attached and I have only realised my mistake now.

jason compo got a reaction from Energy-Jason in I am getting a shock from the solar panelsHi all I have my solar system set up and itis working perfectly. BUT when it rains I get a small shock from the solar panels the are build on a wood stand as shown in the picture.
I have 12 panels of 450watts each in total these 4 are the only ones off the ground
Just to make sure is it best to earth these panels So that is does not happen any more or do I Nedd to connect something else

I tried connecting up a small generator but it did not work the inverter kept cutting off as I am not to sure the setup for a generator to kick ( start the generator by hand ) when the batteries are down to there limit
