  1. @Gary WaterworthIs this a new issue eith the newer versions? I've not seen it before on the older versions of your integration. Will the solution suggested by @Ronnie1102 be a usable workaround?
  2. So an update. After sending them a screen shot of the CEO posting here where he said he'd replace the inverter if not resolved in 2 weeks I was told the very next day my inverter was ready for collection. Sigh. Still no job number however, nor any information as to what was repaired... but at least it is back and working
  3. Hi All I've attached some screen shots from HA. My energy reporting is all over the show On the 2nd it looked normal but on the other days I've got all sorts of erratic readings some showing solar production in the MW which would be cool if it was true. Sunsynk is showing all the correct data. any ideas?
  4. it was down then up for a bit and I see it's now down again. sigh. At least I did not screw something up on my end 😄
  5. Hi Gary, that is a good question. I went back and reinstalled the latest version 2.4 and got it online last night However this morning it's offline through no fault of this. Sunsynk website shows a warning, the gateway still connected but a warning on the inverter, no fault code or anything else tho...weird. Will problem solve that later. Thanks for the help
  6. Hi Howser, They're both there in the configuration.yaml and show up under sensors
  7. Hi Guys, I recently had an issue with my inverter. It was sent in for repairs but now I cannot get the integration to work. The login seems to work perfectly and if I look at debug info gets the serial number etc. However node red debug shows: 1/26/2024, 2:00:41 PMnode: Calc Last Update Time & General Status Checkfunction : (error) "Data last updated more than 3 minutes ago. I don't think I've changed anything on the inverter. I did in the interim move HA onto a PC, but I did that by back and restore and I'm not sure if that broke something?
  8. @Keith Gough This is really terrible service. In another posting on this forum you committed to 2 weeks in March last year or full replacement. Does that promise still stand?
  9. I can understand a wait, what I cannot understand is the complete inability to even respond to a customer request for information or even acknowledgement they the unit has been recieved.
  10. Perhaps someone here has a contact that can help solve my frustration with sunsynk. I sent a sunsynk 5kw inverter for repair. It arrived in their offices in JHB on the 3rd jan when they opened after the holidays as told to me per a conversation with Chantelle one of their agents. The only way I know it's been delivered is because of the courier. It's now been 6 days and despite 10 whatsapp messages, multiple emails and at least 20 attempts at phoning I can get absolutely no response. I cannot get an acknowledgement of receipt, a job number or any contact in any way shape or form. The best I have gotten is their UK based call centre who actually answer the phone but can give me no information either other than it's been recieved. Absolute disappointment. I'll certainly not be recommending sunsynk to anyone. You've got about the same level of support you'd get as a as a no-name brand of aliexpress.
  11. I had a similar issue with my system running the battery down to flat because BMS had failed. When I did manage to get it back online the SOC on battery was very different to the SOC on the inverter. My only solution was a factory reset. I've contacted sunsynk but they have not yet managed to find any issues
  12. So I installed so I am the someone 😂. I've factory reset the inverter so let's we if that helps but it does explain everything. I've also reached out to sunsynk. Several other sunsynk users have had the issue too
  13. OK so update. I got the system started but the soc on the inverter is different form the battery. I suspect thst this whole issue is a bms comms problem. It would explain why the battery is running flat but the inverter still thinks so was 43%. Other users are having a similar issue. It would also explain why the mains is tripping when I start up the system. The islanding mode kicks in before the inverter has actually started properly. It think that I can solve. So if anyone has good ideas on the bms other than a factory reset
  14. I have a 5kw sunsyk inverter, panels and a dyness battery. I woke up twice now with battery beeping and the inverter has run the battery flat. And the dB board earth leakage had tripped. There are several issues: The earth leakage is tripping because of the is landing switch that bonds the earth when in load shedding. I can't change the need for this due to quirks with house wiring. Boot sure why this should be a problem occasionally? I witched the inverter off and restarted it. The essentials came back on but the dials are showing no data and the SOC is showing very different values from the battery. I switched everything off. Left for 15 min and then tried again and it trips the earth leakage again. The last time the only way I could get it all up and running was to disconnected the bonding switch. Once everything had started up it worked until this morning. My problem is I'm out of the country and trying to help my wife solve this whilst I'm away.
  15. OK so after several reboots and removing the BMS cable for some time it rebooted and the SOC is now back to normal. The battery had depleted totally which is odd as well. Something must have gone moggy in the inverter or the BMS
  16. It's securely plugged in and if I disconnect the battery stops charging so it seems operational. I assume it's wiring is not the same as a standard patch cable? I have plenty of spares if it is the same
  17. So I posted a different topic this morning as I try and solve a developing problem. My current issues is my dyness battery ran flat last ight it seems and I woke to it in alarm more and no power. The sunsynk shows SOC at 50% and it's slowly creeping up as sun hits my panels and more power goes to the battery however the battery SOC led indicators are showing very low charge and it took a good few minutes for the alarm to clear which I assume is a battery low voltage alarm It seems there may be a comms issue between the inverter and battery leading to SOC values that are different the LiBMS page on the inverter is showing no data at all, but I can't recall what it usually shows Any ideas?
  18. So I woke up this morning to no electricity. The earth leakage had tripped and my inverter (synsynk) was the issue and my dyness battery was in alarm mode. Eventually I trace that it is the contactor that switches the earth neutral bonding (island mode) causing the issue. If I disconnect it the trip is cleared. Why it should suddenly be an issue months post install who knows. The bigger issue is that my dyness battery is in alarm mode and the fault won't clear. I have restarted the battery. No change. The red light is flashing and the green run light flashes but not in a consistent way. Anything seem immediately obvious to any of you? I'm concerned the bms is kaput
  19. and like I said. I'll kick myself. I forgot to add the custom card. I found Scoobs video which reminded me of it. perhaps this helps someone else...sigh
  20. Hi Guys, I'm busy reinstalling my HA after something I did broke it and I cannot for love nor money get this up and running like I had it before. I can add the resource and add the card to a dashboard but the data does not update. I feel like I'm missing something somewhere and I'll probably kick myself when I hear the solution. I don't know if it is a naming convention issue as the .js file calls it 'sensor.battery_soc' where the actual sensor is called 'sensor.sunsynk_battery_soc' edit: Ok so I edited the file and renames the sensors and voila...but I never did that before. what did I do differently to stop it working? edit2: not all the sensors return data though, although they did before....might have something to do with them not having unique ID? Any ideas?
  21. many thanks. I eventually moved the device and shortened my cable to under 2m and voila no issues. It definitely is n issue with extending the cable. the documentation says you can do 60m. not quite!
  22. I thought it might be some short circuit against the element, but I wrapped the entire unit in tape and no change. this is so frustrating as I've redone the wiring several times and checked solder joints as I'd soldered mine...all is perfect. Pull it out of the geyser and its starts working
  23. @markus_m2 did you ever solve this? I have exactly the same issue. Outside of the geyser it works perfectly even up to 75 degrees, however the moment I put it into the geyser probe port. within 30 seconds it fails.
  24. Hi Folks, So I've recently put a Sunsynk inverter in and got my pi out of the drawer this weekend and started with home assistant. I'm having an issue with login to my sunsync account and node-red is showing "account or password error" however using the api.sunsynk.net with those login credentials works on a web browser but not in the node-red flow. I'm new to this but I've been following the instructions on this thread and watched the video scoobs did of it. I'm in the correct region and have the correct flow json file etc. Anyone got any advice for me
