  1. If roof-space is tight, go for the 550w
  2. 100Ah, and 183Ah batteries in parallel will work, but this is not an optimal solution - your inverter will battle to determine the correct SOC.
  3. You must be a bit more specific - they come in different Kw versions.
  4. Lol ya - the water coming from the roof will have difficulty to run uphill from that crooked, clearly leaking left hand "45 degree" Some builders must stay at clay modelling ๐Ÿคจ
  5. This is the quickest way to make sure batt is at 100% when solar stop producing, but it is difficult with the long haired fairer species ... i have similar problem, but working on it ๐Ÿคฃ
  6. I Cannot tell you the pros and cons where to fit, but i can tell you that your electricity bill will be more than before the inverter install ๐Ÿซฐ
  7. Do this one again on 1 April ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  8. Welcome, there are a lot of very knowledgeable people ( i don't include myself here) on this forum to help you.
  9. Madness โ˜๏ธ - comrades must eat they say!! ๐Ÿคจ Time to get more panels & batteries
  10. But no free earwax removal ๐Ÿคฃ
  11. There definitely must be something wrong with either that specific Luxpower model / batch / firmware to all behave in the same way!
  12. So you have 3 of the same inverters all doing the same thing, are they connected in parallel, how much batteries is connected to the system?
  13. This must be a very specific issue to that specific Sunsynk 3 phase inverter, maybe a firmware issue? Friend of mine does mainly Deye and S/s - his words - "never heard or experienced this issue"
  14. No, combiner box is for organizing various solar strings in a controllable box with breakers. It does nothing to voltages.
  15. I agree - "Don't fix it if it is not broken"
  16. Edit your original post - mark as sold.
  17. And tomorrow batteries and panels is more expensive ๐Ÿคจ ..... hope NOT!
  18. Your computers ink level is low
  19. Demo replied to Wurm's topic in Inverters
Weird things is possible with AC/DC, get the municipality to check if the cable theft damaged something on the transmission lines. And get a sparky to your place to check for the issues with the tripping batteries and dead Inverter.
  20. This will depend on firmware of battery / inverter 2. Do I need to remove CAN coms cable on battery during this operation? Try it both both ways. ๐Ÿคž
  21. Demo replied to Wurm's topic in Inverters
What type of inverter and batteries do you use? 49.6v is too low - even if it is 4 x 12v deep cycle lead acid batteries. Sounds like your batteries hit zero and shut down the inverter? Tell us more about your setup and someone will be able to help you.
  22. Like mentioned above by various people, the main killer of inverters is ventilation. Bad ventilation = overheat and dust build-up. Dust kills capacitors! Over/under volt is also a contributor, as is prolonged max loads - don't run the revs in the red all the time ๐Ÿคฃ
