Energizer only working with battery
- Energizer only working with battery
Yes, there was a wire fault inside the conduit because it many wires (including the power cable) and the a live wire was damaged thus withing intermittently. The electric fence technician had to remove all wires from the energizer to the fence and reroute them to another point on the fence to avoid removing the pavement.- Victron Multiplus-II-48-5000-70-50 230V GX as new, never unpacked
@kayvee I'll take it if I can find someone that side to facilitate the deal.- Installers in Mpumalanga Lowveld
Requirement is installation of 5kw backup system and splitting of DB (single phase) , no solar panels. Quotations are requested via PM.- Installers in Mpumalanga Lowveld
Residential. I don't have the user requirements a.t.m.- Installers in Mpumalanga Lowveld
Any recommendations of solar installers in Mpumalanga Lowveld region?- 3 X Pylontech 2000 batteries for sale
@Dewald Brink I'll be second in line if Calvin doesn't take them.- Srne solar monitor station
Check in Device Manager of the computer to ensure drivers are correctly installed. Also check step 8 and 9 of the manual if you're using Windows 7 or above.- Srne solar monitor station
Hi @Malcolm Sorry to hear that you didn't come right, unfortunately I'm not close to the system so I can't give proper assistance. What seems to be the problem with the drivers?- Srne solar monitor station
Hi @Malcolm Yes, I did. The installation files are under "downloads" in the link below: https://www.communica.co.za/products/sr-ml2420-mppt-solar-controller You'll also need a cable in the link below: https://www.communica.co.za/products/sr-data-link-cable- Energizer only working with battery
My electric fence has been installed and running flawlessly for at least 4 years. Recently the alarm went off and I checked the fence perimeter, all good. A strange thing is that the alarm clears when I remove mains and run the energizer on battery only. Today I took the energizer to Nemtek for testing and they found no fault with it. This is giving sleepless nights as it is a security risk. What could be causing this problem?- OG3.24 Noisy when on AC
@JohanBar what is the outcome of this issue seeing you now have listed the inverter for sale?- 32 x 2nd life LiFePO4 ~110AH
I'm a proud owner of the 12x cells, 4x will will be used in 12V and 8x in 24V configs. Below is a comparison of the seller's capacity test vs my test (based on random selection of cells). I tested to down to 2.5V@10A per cell and the results speak for themselves. I'm happy to have dealt with an honest seller. Cell Igg (Ah) my (Ah) B2 108 112.22 B7 112 116.64 B14 111 113.27 B16 111 116.58- 32 x 2nd life LiFePO4 ~110AH
OK cool, I have a similar one- 32 x 2nd life LiFePO4 ~110AH
@igg what did you use to measure the cells capacity?- Feeler - 8x jinko 270w
@Killerwatt what do you mean by "age unknown"? Surely if it's your house then you at least have an estimation of when installation was done?- How does Axpert bypass work?
I'm running Victron Multiplus II 48V 3000VA and I never have an overload problem running multiple kitchen appliances. The datasheet shows 'maximum feed through current of 32A' and 'peak power of 5500W' but doesn't show how long it can endure these ratings.- SVOLT cells, good price per Ah
That's looking good, did you use drill press?- How does Axpert bypass work?
- How does Axpert bypass work?
Thanks @Scorp007 The manual shows the inverter can handle 150% of load for 5s before going into overload, that is 4500W for 24V 3000w inverter, is this the absolute maximum? Does it mean if I want to power multiple loads at once (kettles, microwaves, washing machine) I have to manually bypass the inverter thorough the changeover switch (by changing to Eskom)?- How does Axpert bypass work?
How does Axpert bypass work? Does it mean the full mains can be powered without interrupting the inverter? Or is that load limited by the maximum power rating of the inverter? What can cause the inverter to go to overload when there is no loadshedding?- SVOLT cells, good price per Ah
BTW that's a massive storage capacity 26.5kWh, congratulations!- SVOLT cells, good price per Ah
Sorry I misunderstood your post, I thought you build one 15 cell battery and have one unused cell and that's why you were looking for additional cells to make 12V battery. In that case, then you are correct.- SVOLT cells, good price per Ah
Yes but you are not limited to 48V, now you have one unused cell whereas you could have used all of them and have a 51.2V battery which is common among commercial batteries. I've seen one guy from another forum pushing the limits and built 18 cells battery (57.6V), as long as the inverter can handle it there's nothing wrong (most inverters can handle 48v to 60V). We call a 12V lifepo4 battery 12V but the nominal voltage not 12V, it's 12.8V (4x3.2V), 24V (8 sells in series) battery is actually 25.6V, 48V nominal is 51.2V (16 cells). At 48V your usable battery capacity is 8832Wh, at 51.2V your usable capacity is 9420.8Wh, that's 6.25% more capacity and another reason to use 16 cells.- SVOLT cells, good price per Ah
