Posted November 25, 20168 yr Good day chaps! My google-fu has failed me, can someone please assist me with this silly little question... The manual states that the inverter is only compatible with "single-crystalline, polycrystalline and CIGS solar panels". Why not monocrystalline? Is it a silly chinglish translation mistake or will mono's really do damage? I can't see why it would but some clarification would be nice!
November 25, 20168 yr Don't the words single and mono mean exactly the same thing.Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
November 25, 20168 yr Author Damn chinglish! I had a feeling that mono panels wouldn't harm the thing but I always like to get a 2nd opinion on things. Thanks guys!
November 28, 20168 yr monocrystalline panels don't work as well as polycrystaline, in South Africa, in general. I don't know about PE though.

November 28, 20168 yr Author The 1kWp Mono array on the roof works rather well here. I regularly see it pushing out 1030w to 1080w this time of the year.
