Axpert mks 3000 plus lights pulsing

Featured Replies

Hi guys

My voorman on the plaas phoned me and told me that the lights on the farm is pulsing on and off on and off any idea what might be causing this.

Are you running from batteries or grid ? Are your Axpert set on ups mode ?

What lights are pulsing, I know about the pulsing green light while charging the batteries, and the flashing red light when battery volts gets low, or during a warning condition. I am referring to another Voltronic model, but think you can start looking at something in this line.

This is actually the lights in the house not the led on the inverter

Sorry Andries, misunderstood the problem, what is the current battery voltage, I suspect the battery volts might be to low and the panels cant keep up with the load. But I might be wrong.

Edit: Can you please ask the "Voorman" What the frequency of the pulses are?  Does it switch off and 30 seconds later back on, or is it a fast continues pulsating?

Seen this before on UPS'es.

Inverter switches off due to load i.e. volts below min setting to protect batteries.
Because load is removed the battery volts climb, inverter switches on.
But now the load increases again, battery volts drop, inverter switches off.

The cycle has started.

Pretty sure the batteries are far below 50% DOD due to not being properly charged or they are charged, but there is a faulty battery.

Agree, my thoughts as well, reason for my questions above.

You may have power saving mode enabled. Check if setting 04 has SDS or SEN.

SDS stands for power saving disabled and SEN stands for power saving enabled.  You should have it on SDS.

Yes you are right, I had the same problem then I disable power saving mode and main AC flashing light problem solve.

In power saving mode inverter does not detect load OR very minor load then it turn ON and OFF main AC Voltage.

During the AC Voltage flashing mode if you increase the AC load namely  turn ON some more light or fan then  voltage will be stable.
