Sunsynk CT Coil not detected

Featured Replies

Hello all.

I am hoping you can help. When I installed my Sunsynk 5K, I connected my CT coil locally at my inverter just to test and the little house and coil picture was visible on my flow chart.

I then made a number of settings changes and moved my coil to the main DB feed which required the cable to be extended by 8m which I did with ripcord (1mm thick). Putting everything back together and the house is not on the flow chart. I checked everything the wiring and nothing brought it back. I have since moved the coil back to locally at the inverter on the built in cable only and still nothing. I have power cycled the inverter and still nothing.

Could it be a setting that I change the is stopping this from working? Could I have damaged the coil? Any ideas?

Hi.

The house icon on the flow chart has nothing to do with the CT coil being installed or not as some people believe.

Untick Limit to Load and the house icon should appear.

Thank you so much..!!!

Perhaps you can answer a question... What is Priority Load vs Priority Batter

Sorry, I come from an Axpert, so this is all new to me

You have these settings to enable you to use your PV firstly to power your loads=Priority Load and charge the battery as a lower important function. When you untick it and select Priority Battery it means the inverter will try to charge the battery first and only then use PV for the load connected.

Although so much to learn with time you will see why this was a great move.

Thank you... Thought at much but was not sure as the manual does go into any detail for this.

I am learning daily.. It has been a bit of a process but today it is finally up and running 75% configure... Hoping tomorrow to get it completely / work out the last few settings. On Monday my cable for ICM arrives to run it at the same time as the data logger as the reporting is not as nice (for me/what I am used to) but there were 3 main reasons for the change... 1, better battery control  2, dual MPPT   3, sick and tired of the Axpert charging from grid when programmed no to. The biggest bonus I have discovered is the feeding back to the house / non-essential load

Yes it is a real control system combined with inverter and bi directional as well. You can also look af the videos Synsynk has on YouTube.

The Priority Load is another feature that’s misunderstood.

Priority load will only function when Use timer is unticked. When Use Timer is ticked, Priority Load is disregarded.

When Use Timer is unticked and Priority Load is unticked, the grid will supply the load and PV will charge the battery. And when Priority Load is ticked, the PV will supply the load together with the grid and the battery will not be charged. It will charge when there is excess PV though.
