June 23, 20224 yr Hi im struggling to decide what battery to get for myself My current setup is: 1x 5kv kodak king OG 4x 470w jinko im looking at the Hubble AM2 and Pylontec UP5000 please advice what will give me best performance and best price or what other brands I should consider more panels will be added in near future

Not sure there can be a definitive agreeable answer. Those mentioned are good and Shoto Freedom Won Solar MD and a number of others should be good.
June 23, 20224 yr Can only comment from own first hand experience with the single Hubble AM-2 I have. It performs as was advertised at the time. Still full capacity of 110A/h at 310 cycles. Reading through the threads though, you will struggle to get one at the moment. Logistics being blamed mostly Edited June 23, 20224 yr by zsde

Logistics being blamed mostly I bought the bottom of the range Hubble S-100. Buying a 1280Wh battery last year and getting 1500Wh out of it I have to be very happy with the Hubbles. Just did a recent load test and capacity is still 1500Wh. What more can I say?

Pity Hubble modified their firmware and BMS to reduce the new AM-2 to 105A/h based on the comms issues with Sunsynk Inverters.
June 23, 20224 yr As far as I can tell after doing this exercise, everyone who has a Hubble loves them and performs well, everyone who has a pylontech loves them and performs well, there was also testing down on these batteries in Australia and they performed really well. A couple of installers really like the BSL batteries. I found dyness batteries at a really good price and spoke to an installer which thinks they are also great batteries. i think with the batteries I’ve mentioned, buying any one of them would be a good buy and you shouldn’t have any problems. I have also read that dyness are batteries made by pylontech staff that left pylontech and branched off to make there own battery. Not sure how true this is though. as to my very limited knowledge, pylontech are the only batteries I know of that have gone through a proper test (around 3000 cycles I think) in Australia with a number of other batteries and they were one of the top performers saying that they were looking at a 60% state of health after 4900 cycles. im new to solar so this is just based on research done.
