Pylontech 3000C BMS com's problem

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

I have 10x 3000C batteries and I am struggling with communications with my Deye 12kw inverter. I had initially bought 8 and the coms worked fine and then I bought 2 more and that's where my trouble started. The 8 batteries were made on the 11/2021 and the newer 2 were manufactured on 03/2022 plus they have different part numbers. Individually the both work fine with the inverter but connecting them together causes the coms error. I see on the forum updating the firmware of the batteries is an solution but before I try that route does anyone have a simpler suggestion on how to fix this problem?

Hi,

Try on comms cable to cut pin 3 (hoping it is similar to sunsynk) this is on using CAN port (Batt) and BMS port (Inverter)

You will have to make sure that they all are on the same firmware version . That fixed the issue for me.

Hi @GeorgeSunfortunately, the best most successful solution is the firmware update that will solve your issue once & for all. If the Batteries have different firmware what happens is that in isolation they will work with the inverter individually but once they are paired the difference in firmware will unfortunately lead to the Comms error.

On the Voltronics the USE settings can be used to get out of jail, however, on the Sunsynk, this will also probably work but the CAN Comms & the Sunsynk is really the best way to go so the update is very useful & necessary.
