Sunsynk Battery cable size

Hi, I have 3 x 5.12kw 100ah batteries from sunsynk(sslb1). The sunsynk battery cable pack has 25mm cable size with the plug connectors. Are these cable sizes sufficient? 
 

i read the Hubble vs pylontech topic and @Leshenmention that the pylontech 25mm cables were not sufficient. So im not sure what to do. 
 

I can join the connectors to 35mm cable but the connectors will remain 25mm. Someone also mentioned that I can add a 25mm cable on the spare connector on the last batteries positive and on the first batteries negative. So going into the battery disconnect fuses I will have 2x 25mm positive and 2x25mm negative cables . Then from the top of the fuse box I can wire in 35mm or 50mm cable to the 8kw sunsynk inverter? Would this help or is it a kak idea?

They are sufficient . You have to look at more than just the mm2 . Look at your specific cable usually the insulation has a temperature rating on it ,the better the insulation the higher the temp that it can withstand the more current it can accommodate. The Pylon cables are rated for 100A continuous so if you need more than that you just use 2 sets of cables. Yes 35mm2 from fuse to inverter should be fine , just make sure of the cables ratings that you are using.

You also need to configure your cable to suit your installation. Using a busbar will eliminate any concerns regarding overloading your cables. You can also double up on the supply cables. Those cable and connectors are rated for 120Amp if I am not mistaken.

i would consider a busbar but it’s just going to mess up my half built install. But I can still install it if I had no other choice. Regarding that install could I connect the busbar under my dc fuse disconnect and the run each battery separately to the busbar? So I’ll have 3 positives and 3 negatives on a busbar connected to my disconnect. 
 

please also seen attached picture, when you say double up the cables would I just connect an extra positive cable and extra negative cable on the spares connectors on  opposite ends of the battery pack

 

@P1000thanks for the reply, are you talking about what I have just asked Jacques in the above quote of adding an extra cable on each side of the battery on the spare connectors ?

@NexussSo you saying that adding an extra cable on each end of the batteries, one on positive and one on negative on those open battery connectors is correct. So essentially I will have 4 cables, 2 positive and two negative going into my battery disconnect fuses.

@NexussSo I’ve been trying to find out if this is the correct way of doing it but I don’t see anyone connecting it like this. By connecting it like this will I not take away the principle of connecting the batteries in parallel? might be a stupid question but I just don’t want to make a mistake.

I saw someone on this forum doing it actually he provided pictures aswell but dont ask me to find it lol . No you will not take away any principles just make sure you keep positive with positive and negative with negative. All you are doing is splitting the current into two pair of cables ,pretty simple.

Since my last message I googled things related to this and I found the pylontech training pdf. It has a diagram with two cables on a bank of 10kw. So I feel better now 😀 thanks for your help.

I am having trouble getting the same type of cable connector as Derek Ramos picture above, in the UK, can anyone help me please?
