July 26, 20224 yr I have just had my rooftop solar system installed and was told to set up the Solarman Plus App. I seemed to have managed it except that the graphic does not show my batteries. Everything else is working. Can I change the graphic somehow?
July 28, 20224 yr Hi @Oxman Check and add to deduction: You are using a Sunsynk Inverter. (Which capacity?) Please explain "does not show my batteries." We may as well start at the beginning. "Graphic" meaning your plant's Flow Chart: Or "graphic" meaning the trend: My default parameters when opening Solarman Smart are Production Power and Consumption Power. From my interface the battery(ies) condition is viewed by selecting the following Parameters (in pink, selected using the bright blue block): State of Charge (SOC - dull red) and Battery Power (charge/discharge - green) Are these parameters not available for you to select? Edited July 28, 20224 yr by LoodPyp Add inverter info
November 2, 20223 yr If the battery is not showing on the flowchart, you need to go to 'Plant Info', and change the 'System Type' to 'Storage System'.
December 3, 20223 yr Hi I’m little confused on the app when It showing the flow diagram . is the watts displaying rounded find it strange that even with my pool pump and geyser running it shows I’m consuming only 240w ? Should it not be 2400w same goes for the rest I.e battery ,grid and panels production 141.00 w

So what you are seeing is the teading at yhe last time Solarman got data
December 4, 20223 yr @mzezman - I understand it is delayed . Just checking why would it be so low ? i.e maybe I am reading this wrong but if I have my pool pump running should it not be consuming over 1000w ? I cannot understand how the consumption can only be 70w. When I read other stats it showed o consumed around 1.4kwh
December 4, 20223 yr when you pull those loads what does it show on the inverter? does it show the correct numbers? Edit: it could be that the pool pump etc are wired onto non-essentials and thus wouldn't show up in the app. Edited December 4, 20223 yr by mzezman
December 4, 20223 yr Values are the same on the inverter as well. What you say makes sense. I’ve not yet finalised the wiring in terms of essential and non-essential. have my guy coming tomm. Thanks for the explanations !

Hi, We did have a similar issue and then we did enable the battery by changing system type to Storage System. But now the battery is showing but the battery SOC is still not showing anywhere. It is showing as "--" everywhere ... Any idea why?

Are battery comms working ? What do you see when you press the LiBMS button (assuming you have a sunsynk / deye inverter)
February 8, 20233 yr @MAS, OT, but I see you PV voltages are pretty low. The startup voltage isfull sun 125V. You are barely above that. You may want to try and get the PV Voltage closer to 300 - 350 V, even if it means to reconfigure your 2 strings into 1 string. The MPPT's sweet spot is in that range. Assuming you took that snapshot when the PV was exposed to full sun.

What do you see when you press the LiBMS button (assuming you have a sunsynk / deye inverter) We're using Tubular Lead Acid batteries. The battery is showing its voltage on the Device -> Inverter (Logger) page as you may be able to see in the screenshot. But it is not showing anything anywhere else. All SOC displays are showing --.

I'm planing to add a couple more onto a westerly direction as I have a bit of shading happening that reducing my late afternoon production how would you suggest I configure the strings ?

Since most 550w panels have Voc around 48v... You'd get around 7 PV x 2 strings you'd get around 336 Voc which may be good enough for MPPT. I would suggest you the couple new ones you're gonna add, add them in one string each so the voltage remains similar on both strings generally.
March 22, 20233 yr Hi - we just had solar installed a few days ago and are using the SOLARMAN app - everything seems to be working fine BUT the app is not showing the Power Flow diagram at all? Does it need a few mores of data before it appears or is there a setting we need to change? Thanks

August 16, 20233 yr I just installed the Solarmann app. Added plant, but it's not connecting to wifi. What can be the reason?
