What is the optimal AC output voltage for inverter?

Nope, don't know of any commonly used  inverter that will back feed (export) while load-shedding (No AC input). My SunSynk will absolutely not export without Eskom connected. I've tried it, but no OP voltage. :) I'm inquisitive and test things.😂

Yeah, I've seen it happen with portable generators and suicide plugs.  Someone I know had this happen in their complex recently.  Also haven't personally seen it with inverters.

Yip, there was a thread on this forum about the double plug extension chords and a generator in a complex. The worst that would happen if the "receiver" didn't switch off his MCB, then the 20A plug trip would go, or the "supplier's" generator would trip or die of an overload. 🤣

That reply was to bobster that has a GoodWe es5048. In that inverter, 50Hz Default, AKA "Wharehouse" setting is a test mode. If it is not set to SA grid code, it is not compliant. If the inverter is set to SA grid code, it will only tolerate voltages of 230V±10%, which means that it would have disconnected and go into backup/ups mode when the grid voltage dropped to "196.5 V".

You are right. I just went & checked PV Master, and the safety code was set to "warehouse". Either a finger problem, or a glitch in that app. I have reset it to SA. Thanks

10% either way is what I'd expected.

Now... I know that two low a voltage is dangerous because devices have to draw more current to meet their power demand, so things can get warm. What about an over voltage?
