Greenrich Battery SOC Fluctuation when full

Featured Replies

Hi there.

I have recently installed X2 4.96kWh Greenrich Batteries and wanted to know if this SOC fluctuation between 99% and 100% is normal when they are full.

Battery is paired with a Sunsynk inverter and connected via CAN 0.

Hi, I have Sunsynk 8kw with 1 of those batteries mines goes to 100% and then drops to 99%, also not sure why. Mine is also just being used as battery backup system

If it is newly installed, then the batteries are probably balancing. Post a pic of your system mode timer screen?

Thank you. Yes it's very new it was installed yesterday.

Not at the screen at the moment. Will post tomorrow morning.

@YellowTapemeasure how long can this take? My battery just over month now.

I am not sure, Pylontechs can take a few days.

Edit: That is for multiple batteries, you only have one, so if it's internal cell balancing, it may be a whole lot quicker. And it will never end, as the battery charges and discharges, the BMS will continuously balance the cells. But I'm just speculating that it is that, why not ask the expert who designed the Greenrich batteries, @Bruce Gu

@Milan188will do for sure, would love to get the specs from him as well on Absorption and Equalization V

Equalisation V on the inverter should be set to 0 days and 0 hours.

Or are you referring to BMS equalisation?

My supplier said this can take a 1 or 2 months. There are 16 cells per battery and the BMS does it slowly.
He said he will send me a cable to connect the battery to my laptop and he will show me how it works.

@Milan188that is great to hear, so it working same as mine now.

These batteries are great I love them. Need 1 more.

I have two for my 12kw inverter and its great. The biggest load I have had is 9.3kw so haven't done more than 1C yet.

I did so much research on this battery and I contacted many installers who install these and not one of them complained about it yet. The price to performance is also one of the best.  Would love to add a third to get me through the evening cooking and night but I am too broke now.
