April 16, 20233 yr Hi guys using the solar assistant app with the inverter. My question when set in SBU mode only solar and battery get used how do I get the utility to start charging the battery say when it’s at 70% so if solar is unavailable during the evening, I found option 12 but not quiet sure how to use it, anyone know thanks
April 17, 20233 yr Setting 12 (Back to utility voltage) is the voltage the battery has to fall to to get it to return to line mode so that utility charging is possible. But I presume that Solar Assistant can talk directly to the battery's BMS, and so it may be able to switch to line mode for you at a given SoC percentage. So hopefully you don't need to mess with setting 12.
April 17, 20233 yr Author Thanks I don’t have a bms setup ideally what I would like is to set it on sbu during the day and then when the battery gets to 50-60% or at a set time say when no load shedding set this to utility to recharge the battery during load shedding, solar assistant does have what u say but it’s greyed out for me as no BMS setup

April 19, 20233 yr Hi Nitesh....are you using the Solar assistant app as an alternative to Watchmanager? Via Bluetooth only? I also have the Kodak OG3.24 without WiFi and am looking for an App as well as an RS232 to wi-fi adapter... TIA
April 20, 20233 yr Author Hi yes same inverter I am using solar assistant it is fantastic using a usb cable it works fine to the pi will look at the rs232 at some point.
May 5, 20233 yr when close to your system can you kindly incorporate the below LCD settings: · Program 01 : SBU · Program 02: 100A ( maximum charge current from both your supplies which is your solar panels and utility) · Program 03: APL ( appliance default) · Program 05: PYL (Pylontech battery) · Program 06: LFE (Restart enable) · Program 07:EFE( Restart enable) · Program 09: 50Hz · Program 10 : 230V · Program 11: 40A ( this program is linked to program 2 so whatever value you used in program 2 will affect this program e.g., if the value in program 2 is less than the 1 for program 11 it will use program 2 for charging current so it’s better to have your program 11 current charge as low as possible as this current charge solely reflects on the utility charging current, because if not you would end up having a higher charge portion coming from the utility opposed to solar when charging your battery.) · Program 12: 49V safe voltage before reaching the lowest discharge voltage of 44.5V. · Program 13: 55V as per Pylontech data sheet · Program 16: is at your own discretion, you can choose what’s best for you for charging your battery. · Program 22 : AON (default settings) · Program 26 : 55V · Program 27: 55V · Program 29 :45V
