Problem solved - CT was on pin 3 and 4 and was facing the wrong way - Put it on pin 5 and 6 and turned it around. All loads now showing correctly.

Glad to hear it. Is your house a single phase?

Good you got it solved. The direction of CT as well as using 3 and 4 or 5 and 6 for the different sizes of inverters is very well indicated in the manual.

Same issue for me, 8kw deye, CT pins connected correctly on 5,6 - support coming through on Friday, will keep you guys posted if we manage to solve the issue.

Did you come right?

Hi Murphy,

Unfortunetly it was a no show scenario…

New date confirmed for next week, will keep you posted.

Mine is the 8kw one, let me know what they say please, will do the same.

cheers!

Okay - as was the case with most of you, my CT was installed on the wrong pins too!

They were installed on 1 and 2 instead of 3 and 4.

The guy moved them and instantly the house consumption showed up when ZERO EXPORT TO CT was clicked.

He also says now the PV should send excess power to non-essentials if battery is full.

Just need the Cape Town rain to clear up and then I can see if thats happening.

Massive relief!

Electricians came earlier than expected, they moved the CT clamp to the cable between my pay meter and DB mains and voila.

House consumption now shows essential and non essential loads.

ZERO EXPORT TO CT Ticked

Hi Tim. Do you mind sending me a pic of your Panels Ramping up to produce excess power to your non-essentials?
I want to show my guy how it should be showing.

Thanks

When I set my system to "Export to CT" and the turn on the geyser - when the grid is on, the system shows the geyser usage however it is pulling from the Grid and my battery. Is this correct? I was hoping to see the geyser usage (for monitoring correct usage) but having the geyser run off the grid/pv and NOT use my battery:

  1. CT Installation Check:

    • Ensure that the current transformer (CT) is installed correctly. It should be connected to the appropriate pins according to the manufacturer's instructions.
    • Double-check the direction of the CT clamp. It should be aligned correctly, typically with the arrow pointing towards the inverter.
  2. Battery Settings:

    • Verify that the battery is configured correctly within the system settings. This includes checking the charging and discharging parameters to ensure optimal performance.
    • If there are specific settings related to the battery type or capacity, make sure they are adjusted accordingly.
  3. CT Ratio Adjustment:

    • Confirm that the CT ratio is set correctly. This ensures that the inverter accurately measures the current flowing through the CT and calculates consumption and export values accordingly.
  4. Smart Load Function:

    • If you intend to power non-essential loads using surplus energy, consider wiring the Smart Load function. This allows the inverter to prioritize powering these loads when excess energy is available.
    • Ensure that the Smart Load function is properly configured within the system settings. This may involve setting up load priorities or defining which loads are considered non-essential.
  5. Dashboard Display Settings:

    • Adjust the system settings to ensure that the dashboard displays relevant information, such as battery status. This may involve selecting the appropriate system type (e.g., Storage) to enable battery monitoring features.
  • If the battery status is not visible on the dashboard, explore the system settings to activate or enable this feature.

No I haven't fixed it. I've just been using ZERO EXPORT TO LOAD so that I can see consumption and also use the TIme of Use settings on the inverter.
Before, my battery wouldn't get used in the evening. Now at least it runs down to about 40% so I have some backup for L/S at night.

But it doesnt feel right still. I want my PV to power my Non-Essential geyser during the day but I cant ever tell if that's happening. Are you expected to see the Solar usage ramp up if it is powering non-essentials during the day? I.e. if the battery is full and the house conusmption is say 400W, would you expect to see the PV usage ramp up to 1kw/2kw if its heating a geyser/pool pump?

Thanks

No sure if you got an answer since I didn't read the full thread. I recently installed mine and did notice this behavior when battery is full. If My panels can provide 3kw of power but am only consuming 2k it will show pv as 2k, if its 1k it will show pv at 1kw
