July 10, 20233 yr Hello guys, I am trying to see where I can mount my inverter to its permanent location. Are there any clearance regulations that I should be aware of when you have limited space? For example, clearance from power meter, Main DB, sub dbs, trunking or other installation related devices? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
July 10, 20233 yr Start by following the inverters clearance guide. Most inverters will have that on the included manual.
July 10, 20233 yr Author @WannabeSolarSparky thank you for the feedback! I found the instructions for my inverter. You don't know of any of the other devices like i mentioned earlier(power meter, Main DB, sub dbs, trunking)?
July 10, 20233 yr I believe if you use the same clearance from your DB you should be safe. Maybe some of the forum electricians can be more clear with the SANS rules for that.
July 10, 20233 yr No real limitation regarding positioning of inverter the only reg is 2m raduis from faucet ,water outlet. Attached photo of positioning relative to main db board. edit. Correction 2m raduis from water outlet Edited July 10, 20233 yr by TaliaB
