Give us some spesifications battery, solar array ,when was system installed and a photo of the Lux inverter main page. Eg below.
July 20, 20233 yr Author The system consists of 6 x 400w panels , 1 x 100Ah LiFePO4 battery and the battery type is set as Lead-acid on the inverter. The switching off occurs only during the night when the load gets smal like having house lightning.

July 20, 20233 yr There is a few red flags for me on the info you supplied so far. Further info we will need from you. 1. Your power consumption in a 24 hour period or a list of appliances used at what times during the 24 hours. 2. What is your solar production during sunny days graph will be best if you can. What is worrying is the fact you said no grid supply( are you totally off grid) if that is the case then 4.8kwh battery capacity is not going to cut it especially not on overcast and rainy days. Depending on your battery soc at 4pm you might run out of battery during the later stages of the evening and inverter shutting down, hence the reason we need more details on your power consumption.

In the data you can see it repeatedly cutting out when the load drops below a threshold, and then kicking in again and drawing from the battery when (I presume) a fridge fires up. It does this over and over. I presume it's a battery saving feature, and it's certainly by design. I'm guessing it's when the inverter requires more to power itself than needs backing up. It always ends up reconnected, so all is well that ends well. Does yours do the same? Or just it shut down and stay shut down? I tried running a lot more external lights at night. But they're LED and don't make enough difference (which means they aren't really costing me any significant amount extra).
July 20, 20233 yr I belief @Bobster. is using the con feature that allows it to wake up. Being off grid and a low power user and only using the inverter for lights and fridge one can get through the night. It is thus essential to know if the battery coped before switching off. As an example I charge only from grid on my Axpert and don't cycle during the night or keep my fridges running during LS. Doing this I need only about 1kwh per day for charging the battery. We do have LS and battery is for a few LED lights and my 2 routers mostly. We do use the micro to warm food prepared on battery in the evening LS cycles. We normally charge our phones when the grid comes back during the night. We hardly ever have power outings or power only coming on late after LS😀 Edited July 20, 20233 yr by Scorp007

Even if it's done it always it could have been set up this way from the beginning. Just mentioned it as a possible reason. Edited July 21, 20233 yr by Scorp007

I think I need to read the fine manual.

Yes Goodwe were one of the 1st inverters from China that I saw providing a very good manual. A Goodwe would have been on my list if it didn't have the high 180V start up value meaning 6-7 panels when panel sizes were around 270W. My 1st UPS I bought had this economy setting and I was too stupid to get the right cable as this setting could only be disabled via cable to a PC via software. A real pain way back in 2008 when one wanted to charge phones and laptop. It switched to sleep at below 45W😊 Edited July 21, 20233 yr by Scorp007

When mine switches off it doesn't come on by itself I have to switch it back on but if I ignore it comes back on when the panels start charging the battery. I'm trying to get help from Luxpower in China.

I have to be forced to run extra unnecessary loads just so that the inverter doesn't switch off critical light loads like the Wifi modem, computer & phone charging points

I should have noticed this earlier. Your more recent updates reminded me of a situation I used to have with my battery shutting down. It would always kick in again the next morning when the PV side turned on. But you've also declared that you have an LiFe battery, but the system is set for lead-acid. That mismatch is no good. How will the inverter know what condition the battery is in? LiFe and lead-acid batteries have quite different characteristics. What brand of battery? What voltage? And why those settings? I'm guessing that you're not running comms between the BMS and inverter. I'm further guessing that the battery is shutting down or the inverter decides that it has. You said there's no grid connection to this system. So if there's no PV and no battery, what can the inverter do?
June 26, 20242 yr hi did you manage to resolve this problem. i have a similar problem. Luxpower 5Kva and a dyness lithium battery 4800kw, 4 JA pannels of 475 each. my load is only a 100 watts fridge, and 15 LED lights of 9 watts. the luxpower hybrid inverter just stops working almost every day after 10 pm, even when the battery is around 83% can anyone help
September 20, 2025Sep 20 Just installed a Luxpower 5000SNA and, funnily enough, have the same problem at night when it is just the wifi and fridge/freezer that I want to keep powered. So did any one of the previous two find the magic setting to get round the problem? 🤔
