Any one had this inverter installed .

No Manuel's on the net to down load so cant check it's setup options . Looks like new on the market as there not much said about this inverter 

Is it's fans noisy .

Has it any bugs like the well known float bug . 

Does it perform as advertised

Wow no one using this inverter or have a Manuel to take pics to see the setup on this inverter .

It makes a person reluctant to buy this inverter with  no idea what you getting only specs advertised  but   no manuel on the net and did ask an supplier to email the Manuel's program pages but they did not.

There are many sellers including Leroy Merlin. Contact them as they all indicate a manual is included in the box. 

5yr warranty? 

TBH - my experience with Ecco is that it is a cheap and nasty brand mostly found at the various China Malls and Pakistani/Indian cellphone accessory shops here in JHB.  I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone I like 🙂  - I sincerely doubt whether the 5 year warranty is going to be worth the paper its wrtitten on.  What is the value of a warranty if there is no one in the country to actually act on a warranty claim.

Leroy Merlin might list it on their website but I have found that they also have a market place program like Takealot where third parties can sell their goods online through their website. Leroy Merlin/Takealot only acts as a channel to sell through.

I have to agree. In our area the China Malls mostly sell Five-star which I see on par with Ecco. If it was a cheap 20A solar controller yes I would go for a Ecco but not for their inverters. I do however know of a few guys that are very happy with their Five-star cheapies. 

Yip it's a chance you take when you buy a cheap inverter . I guess I have been lucky with my mks 2 pro as it's now about 6 years old and runs from solar through the day  now for years with out an issue .

Don't think these Ecco inverter have been on the market for long so not a lot on them but a Manuel will help  pity the suppliers I have ask did not email  me copy of the Manuel so guess I will run my inverter till it makes smoke by then hopefully there will be more info on this inverter or had enough time to save up for a better quality inverter .

Jip also got one and there is a float bug, does not want to go into float stage. But saw at least it does stop charging on bulk charge. no amps going to batteries after it hits the bulk charge volts, but volts stays there not dropping to float voltage. And it does it only on the user defined setting for lithium, the AGN and FLD works for Gel batteries. Got this setup, also got the Manual for it 3.5kw 100A MPPT

Hi I ended up also buying an Ecco  but the 5.5kw and it's working better than expected so far .

As I have assener 25.6v lithium 2 in  series I'm not using coms so also using user and the inverter is doing is switching to float after the set minutes for bulk time .

I don't have experience on the ECCO inverters but I will tell you this much I have been using a Growatt 3kva 24v for my workshop setup and been running for 2 years and a bit without missing a beat. Connection setup with Solar assistant was straight forward no problems. Bms connection between Svolt and Growatt was flawless. I will anyday choose Growatt above any Voltronic inverter or clone thereof.

I am now in the process of adding a Victron Easysolar 2 3kva 48v to a seperate db in my workshop as part of expansion.

Hi sorry for answering so late .

At my sister-in-law house the 3.5kw so far is doing well .

My 5.5kw ECCO is running off grid now for around 2 years with no issues it does not work hard mostly any thing from 50w to 400w it's winter now so the inverter acon is not being used and the swimming pool very little so for me this inverter is perfect for the job.

My brother-in-law 6.5kw ECCO is also running well but it's not perfect as setting limit you to how you want the inverter to operate .

So if you in the day on solar but grid at night but want to safe as much electricity with using only say 20% battery into the evening leaving enough for power failure then I would say growat but even better luxpower is a better option to get the most out of your system .

Agreed. I have a MUST inverter which i also believe has the same internals as the ECCO. The inverter is flawless and works lovely but it does seem more suited to being offgrid. I fortunately have enough batteries and solar to not need the Grid as the inverter wont switch automatically to grid when the sun goes down unless the battery cut off voltage is hit. So if you dont have enough solar and/or batteries you would need to set the cut off voltage higher but then it means you dont save much in terms of grid usage. I dont use the grid at all so this isnt a problem for me and actually works in my favor.

I am actually getting a second MUST inverter that will run together with my existing one as I am moving towards grid disconnection. This one will be on a lithium bank that I will build with Cells from Alibaba. It will be redundancy as I dont want to be without power if one inverter fails.
