August 9, 20233 yr Hi sorry to bother everybody. With the loadshedding a person is starved for entertertainment in the dark damp recesses of the night. I own a Lux power sna 5000 and 1 Volta battery. With the switchover when loadshedding starts everything is normal nothing trips except my ps4. I have 2 questions 1. Why is this happening since the tv stays on and 2 am I doing damage to the ps4 or the inverter. Thanks.
August 9, 20233 yr The ps4 does not have a very robust psu, have you checked that the inverter voltage is the same as the grid voltage? So if your normal grid voltage is about 230 - 240 then set the inverters voltage to 230, that may or may not resolve the issue. Else get a small 800VA decent ups to put in front of the ps4. Theps4 switching off like that should not damage the inverter, the ps4 however may get damaged over time or at the very least you could end up corrupting the HDD on the ps4. August 9, 20233 yr I have heard of this happening with the LXP5000 as well. I suspect it may have something to do with that old bug-bear, the floating neutral-earth voltage. It may be resolved by bridging the neutral and earth on the output of the inverter. Whether you do a permanent bond or relay activated is a matter of fierce debate.

Off the top of my head, your PS4 power supply cannot "ride through" the 20ms transfer time of your SNA 5K inverter. Not sure but try changing the AC input voltage range setting from APL to UPS to reduce the transfer time from 20ms to <15ms.
August 13, 20233 yr @Kilowatt Power where would you change the tranfer time? Is it under the same program 13? I have mine set on UPS and on the odd occasion my Radio fuse blows. It had stopped since the change but once in a while it happens. This transfer time could be the issue

It's the AC voltage range setting. For Axpert inverters, changing the AC input voltage range from APL to UPS has the effect of shortening the transfer time from 20ms to 10ms. August 29, 20232 yr I have no idea. It's a Marantz SR6015. I also have a Denon in another part of the house which suffers from the same problem. I know both brands are related so maybe that's why. The Yamaha sound bar in my bedroom doesn't even flinch so I guess it must be something in the other 2 AVR systems
