Does anyone have experience with the Nenergy 12v, 100Ah battery? I would like to know. 100Ah Nenergy 1.28KWh 12V Lithium-ion LiFePo4 Battery | Buy Online in South Africa | takealot.com

Thanks, Peet

This looks like a trade-off, ie. lower charge and discharge rates, and +/-2000 cycles at 80% discharge, but a nice battery level indicator and breaker are included in the package. Looks like a fair purchase for low-power applications around 500W, like just keeping your LED lights and laptop and wifi on, but if you're looking for more useful output power around 1kW to run a mini-kettle or similar, there are other options of 12V 100Ah lithium batteries to consider. No personal experience, just reading through the specs.

Another option with RS485 balancing between batteries. Good cycle count.

The reason I did not post this link is that they quote only 1500 cycles.

Which of these batteries will work with a Mecer 12 volt inverter?

Mustek said not to use any lithium-type battery but I see them being described as "drop-in compatible"

If the supplier say don't use lithuim then don't not all of these 12v inverters can charge the lfp batteries it could damage the inverter. Rather use SLA or Gel.

I have been using this battery paired 2KV Sun inverter for over 6 months now. Running the basics and no issues. Paid R5k for the battery.

Thanks, it gives me some idea.
