Sunsynk 5kw + Dyness bx51100 sudden BMS comms loss

Is there a reset procedure to follow for this?

What I did was the following:

- switch load and grid CBs off

- perform factory reset on master inverter (no need to do it on slave) - password is 9999

- wait for green lights to come back on both inverters

- check that battery comms are back

- input battery settings (lithium - as above for dyness)

- setup multiple inverters in advanced settings ( Modbus CAN 1 for master and 2 for slave)

- setup system mode based on my own requirements

- switch load and grid back on

This is concerning. Wonder if sunsynk are aware of this. So many experiencing this issue. Clearly not the batteries fault here.

I wouldn't say so many - but there is an increase in the incidence. Would be good to understand what firmware the inverters are on etc

The dyness team said this issue is on the rise and that is just the people who are checking their comms link.

I am also speaking to someone from Sunsynk - they are not as accessible as the Dyness team. The dyness tech came to me to check on the battery and found no issues so I think this issue lies with Sunsynk.

If it's as simple as a factory reset then great but I wish they could give this instruction too.

For the record, experienced this issue on a Sunsynk 16kw,

Software version M 9.0.2.4/S 1.7.2.5/CE.4.3.0

Ok so I can change my settings via the dongle remotely but not on the inverter itself, also just limited settings...

Does it give you an error when you try to change on the system or they just don't stick?

Hi Guys. The exact same thing happened to me a week ago. Changed the communication cable but no luck. This is a 8kW Sunsynk with 2 x Dyness batteries. I got some advice from another inverter technician and he suggests I do a firmware update on the battery. I'm still asking around. In a way I'm glad it is not just me. My supplier where I bought the Batteries told me it is with Sunsynk. Did anyone do the factory reset on the inverter and did it work or did someone figured it out?

I have not yet attempted the factory reset on the inverter and I am still using AGMv settings for now. Also keen to know if the factory reset has sorted this out for TheRealChuckNorris.

or maybe you can read the thread you posted in, and help your users understand why this is happening, instead of just spamming multiple threads with your contact info

Or even start an actual official Dyness thread with resources etc

I had a similar issue with my system running the battery down to flat because BMS had failed. When I did manage to get it back online the SOC on battery was very different to the SOC on the inverter. My only solution was a factory reset. I've contacted sunsynk but they have not yet managed to find any issues

Goodday all

Did the factory reset holdup the comms for the dyness bx51100 just curious

I am investigating this issue to follow up with both parties...please share feedback on your comms state after the factory reset of the inverters .....

Thanx

Thanx

This is some phenomenon that cant be explained by both sinsynk and dyness

Will keep on seeking ....talking to electronic engineers ....to try to figure out the reason...for this
