Hitting the shelves.

Also see that lithium cell prices are falling a lot.

Where exactly are they hitting the shelves? Link to anyone selling them today with current price?

Buy them and give us your view. Also include if you bought a new inverter.

I have not seen a bms compatible yet. I'm not saying I want them but they seem to be a big part of the future. Plus side it could help lower the price of lithium if you would like to stay with lithium.

Some Chinese EV's getting sold with CATL sodium batteries.

They are obviously the future but useless untill we have compatible BMS and inverters. Sodium cells have large voltage drops. Down to 1v and in a 16s configuration that's a voltage range from 51.2 - 16v

So far it seems you don't need the protection of a BMS as it is safe to deep discharge. Quite negatives on cycles though price is low. Only 5000 cycles. For use at current voltages of inverters you might also loose 40% of the Ah capacity.

I'm pretty confident that you should be able to program a PACE BMS with all the parameters required to be compatible with these cells.

What's impressive is the C rating. Yes it's early days for these types of cells but the future of battery tech is changing fast. The fact that these cells are coming from CATL is a positive.

I'll wait for them to be cheaper than lithium and will build a 8S as a test.

Down to 1v

The voltage range at this early stage is indicated as 4V fully charged and 2V cut off. It's early days but looks promising.
Problem remains that a new Inverter range will be needed to cover the bigger voltage range.
Here is a clip of someone actually starting to experiment with this chemistry.
