December 4, 20232 yr Hi so I’ve just attached 2x 48v DC solar lithium batteries I believe I have it all connected correctly. I have the primary battery pins set to ( on on on off) the secondary battery set to ( on on off on ) I have the communication cable going from the out of the primary battery to the in on the secondary. And a cable from the rs 485 to rs232 when I turned everything on it shouted fault code 4 and 61. I found a thread on fault code 61. I went into my inverter and changed the settings recommended. Fault code 61 has now gone away. My batteries are saying they are at 52v but the unit is flashing fault code 4 (low voltage) I have the unit currently turned off and running in bypass mode with the generator so I have power to the house. The inverter lcd shows the batteries charging, but the batteries don’t show they are charging. And when I go through the setting to see what power is going to the batteries it shows 0. And beeps fault code 4 if I turn the inverter on 🤷♂️
December 4, 20232 yr Good evening @Glasshopperus The battery communications cable (blue cable that is connected to the CAN / RS485 connector on the battery) must be connected to the BMS connector on the inverter not to the RS232 connector on the inverter. Make sure that the battery communications cable has the correct connector pin-out on both connectors otherwise the communications between the BMS and the inverter will not work. If the battery communications between the inverter and the battery cannot be established then the inverter must be set to USE for program 5 and the voltages must be set for program 26, 27 and 29. December 5, 20232 yr Author Thanks so much I was hoping it was a simple mistake on my part 🤞 unfortunately just switching the cable hasn’t solved the problem. I communication cables I have were given to me with the batteries when I bought them for my system so I would have assumed they were correct 🤷♂️

Maybe you used the special cable between battery modules? You also need to choose the correct battery type for your battery. If you have tried swapping the ends around (what is in the battery goes to Inverter) and it is still not working, them maybe try order the original cables. They look like the black ones with the yellow tags. (From the battery manufacturer) Also, check you battery DIP switch settings. (Again from battery manufacturer). Different for different batteries. And you set the Dip Switches while battery is OFF. They don't always catch the first time round, especially when system is on.
December 10, 20232 yr Author Hello, thanks to everyone who replied. It turns out my 48v Axpert King rack 5kw was one of the first released so its communication card could only talk with PYLONTECK stackable lithium. The newer models have a different communication board that can speak to any Lithium. So €108 later they have switch my communication board and it all worked. (For a short time I will post the update later 🤦♂️🤣)

Or are you saying that they achieved a display firmware update by selling you a new communications board containing the newer firmware, and you could have saved yourself the expense had you known? September 9, 20251 yr Hi I got the Greenrich U-P5000 Li Battery's. Any specific setup on my Expert King || inverter? I'm using the PYL battery setting and the BMS is working but the values don't seem correct on the WiFi app?
