February 19, 20242 yr Hi guys, on the Luxpower SNA500 can I use the dry contact to activate the contactor relay and create the Earth/Neutral bond. I tried testing for continuity on the dry contact NO1, Com and NC1 pins but it does not seem to complete the circuit, whether AC In is on or off, is there a setting on the inverter to activate this...or what can I use to activate the contactor relay
February 19, 20242 yr You can probably use AC in, to disconnect the earth<->neutral bond when commercial power exists and when it doesn't and the contactor (assuming a SPDT), can bridge earth-neutral on the output side of the inverter...
February 19, 20242 yr I used a contactor, when there is Eskom the E/N bridge is not connected and when Eskom drops then the Earth & Neutral is bonded. So a contactor which is NC, when the coil is energized (Eskom grid is available) then then it is open.
February 19, 20242 yr Unfortunately the dry contacts are triggered by the battery level, not only whether grid is present or not, so I don't think you can use them as you want to.
