Would the pi be OK in a ip rated box, as I have the pi in a case with fan.. it would run too hot?

It should be ok. Mine is inside an enclosure in my garage with ambient temp in summer of 29 and never had any issues with my pi.

Hi managed to set mi rasberry pi up thanks for all the help only issue I'm having now is that I'm using this buck convter in the picture but keep this message

"Device experienced 18 voltage dips since boot.
Confirm USB power supply is 5V and 3A."

So if anyone could tell me what I done wrong be big help

One of the common problems of these units are if rated at 3A they normally cannot provide it full time. Always better to get a 5A+ if you need 3A.
