March 10, 20215 yr Hi All, Really new to this but have been quietly following the forum and listening attentively to all the sound advice given. After lots of checking for pricing of equipment and a decent installer I have finally put my system in. Small compared to many of the systems I've seen here but suited my budget : - 5.5 kW Sunsynk Inverter - 10 x 455w ArtSolar Mono panels - 2 x Pylontech 3000c 3.5kwh - IP65 custom cabinet, because I didn't want the system in my garage or house (garage quite a way from the main house) Using the Solarman smart app for monitoring but doesn't really provide as much info as I expected. I don't have an electrical or instrument type bone in my body but really enjoying this so far

What kind of information are you not getting from the Solarman app and web site? The only thing I found missing was detailed information regarding power utilisation for UPS, Aux and grid output. Other than that everything the inverter does is logged on the portal.
March 29, 20215 yr Author I would like to know the solar generating capacity at any given time so I can start improving the efficiency.... I'm sure I'm under utilizing the array at the moment and would like to see if I can potential add more onto my essential load

However if your usage is equal to the generation you know there is excess capacity available.

I'm sure I'm under utilizing the array at the moment and would like to see if I can potential add more onto my essential load If you set the inverter to "zero to home", any excess pv not going to the essential load should then be going to the non essential loads. You can then decide if you can move more of your loads to the essential side.
