  1. See bidorbuy seller XT Comp. Courier country wide @ R65
  2. You can get 5W ceramic @ R5. 50 each and courier is only R65 country wide. Look for the seller XT Comp. Less than R65 is very scarce.
  3. I can just go with Abe53 that has been using panels to directly power his geyser ement with this method for more than a year without welding his thermostat. If a 0.22uF cap prevented all cars up to the late 1970's from pitting their points while quenching the spark of over 200V at over 10 000 times per minute it sounds right to me. A capacitor only discharges when making a short circuit and causes no harm AFAIK. Even if it does not work the cap is cheap enough to try. We not breaking a high DC voltage as we talk about 150-200V.
  4. No need to fiddle with these custom setting. They are correct for SA on the default.
  5. A 6uF capacitor of 350V across the thermostat should solve this problem. Solution provided by @Abe53
  6. In trying to decide just the following. My experience is the systems with battery power use about 600-900Wh per 24h just to power the unit. The Solis grid tied only uses about 70Wh per 24h to be ready to work when PV available.
  7. Grid tied can be great. How many panels do you consider?
  8. I am interested if still available. Please PM me.
  9. Don't you think the price is stiff seeing one can get a new 24V 3000W Axpert type with warranty for R5 500?
  10. Is this a grid tied unit? Is it really 5kw as the specs under AC output lists 4kw and the model is also 4000W?
