  1. If you have 304Ah cells then you most likely have 4 packs in parallel? You need to make sure the charge rate on each bms is set the same. Make sure your inverter max charge amps is set to 190A.
  2. It will keep saying that until you login and scan the BT connection. Username admin Password 111111 Six 1's

  4. Meter neg lead goes to the first black wire on black plug. Meter positive lead moves up the black plug then the white plug.
  5. Alkara electroplating speak to Peter. Did an amazing job on mine and same day service. Nickel is what you want.
  6. I ran my sunsynk 8kw with no batteries for a few weeks. Just panels and grid. It worked fine. But it's always best to have a battery on a hybrid even if it's a small 5kWh Else go grid tied.
  7. Without ground stations in SA yet the ping is not great. I'm also afraid of starlink stopping service over SA due to all the legal nonsense going on. I'm patiently waiting for an official SA release.
  8. Sorry Greg. Been on leave. You can DM me your email address so I can send you the seplos settings file. Fuse I got from rs components. I linked it in an earlier post. Fuse holder I got here https://www.livestainable.co.za/product/victron-energy-fuse-holder-for-anl-fuse/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAtOmsBhCnARIsAGPa5yZYJCvwcLkblYKzTgqbIXV0Hic7dodjUQw6vrpFzOSsoVo2pS3cwmoaAr74EALw_wcB
  9. I have a fast blow fuse as close to the cell + as I can before the bms. Bms is electronic and if electronics fail then the fuse protects against that. I then have a breaker for each battery bank to the busbar. I can disconnect any bank from the busbar if it needs maintenance. Breakers easily go over their max but a fuse is fast. Fuse is only there to protect against any bms failure.
  10. I can send you my settings file. I'll try tomorrow. Only about 6 settings that I've changed.
  11. I used this specific connecter. Great quality. Strong and waterproof https://x.alibaba.com/AvKkfp?ck=pdp
  12. Your bms is there for overcurrent protection. Don't match your fuse to your inverter max. Fuse should be higher value than the bms max current. Fuse is there to protect against any short circuit. I direct +- short could easily be 500+ amps
  13. What if bms mosfets go short? It will make a fire quickly. Atleast have a breaker or a fuse. I use both.
  14. What is the USD difference between the 280's and 304's? Surely that is what the refund should be.
  15. I used the victron fuse holder with this fuse. https://za.rs-online.com/web/p/car-fuses/2260901?cm_mmc=ZA-PLA-DS3A-_-google-_-PLA_ZA_EN_PMAX_Catch+All-_--_-2260901&matchtype=&&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAvoqsBhB9EiwA9XTWGf0ZjLxfxOe2u8KowS_sz3cZR6fJSHxzhmBum-WpBSUc2c0tSSBERhoCjL4QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

  17. I will never touch a lead acid/gel battery for backup power in my life again. Lithium is a must if it's cycled daily.
  18. What's the simplest but still safe way to access home assistant remotely? I have a static ip but no vpn. Simple port forward safe to use?
  19. Very nice. I see Andy is testing a neat little CAN device for the JK bms
  20. Luno used to have zero fees with maker orders. And still have zero fees to withdraw rand to bank account. They've been my main SA exchange.
  21. I've traded Forex for 7 years part time. Nothing beats a bit of passive income not having to watch charts.
  22. I got tired of seeing my batteries charged by 10am Now I actually use the power for something worth while.
  23. Very easy. Just switch off. When sun is out just switch on. No setting up again. It just runs. Can even put it on a smart plug if you not at home or control with home assistant
  24. What's the BTC fees like when do a withdrawal from nicehash?
