  1. I have an Axpert inverter, so it doesn’t automatically disconnect. So I flip the main breaker and usually reconnect an hour or so later by which point the grid has stabilized
  2. The Deye/Sunsynks are more sensitive to voltage variances from the grid and won’t connect unless they’re happy. With all the load shedding I’ve seen very unstable grid voltages and I manually disconnect my inverter in those cases
  3. Do they have a physical location you can visit and purchase from in person? im not seeing anything via a quick google search. If they’re advertising only on social media (Facebook/instagram ads), and want EFT only, that’s usually a very big red flag
  4. There is a battery option, on the Sunsynk is a tick box “activate” under battery settings , not sure if it’s the same under Deye but should be very similar. Or try charging each battery individually and then setting them up in parallel
  5. You have to live with the noise of you want it to work as intended
  6. Well hopefully the batteries BMS prevented the voltage spike from hurting the cells
  7. What, and the magic smoke hasn’t been let out?
  8. Did you have an earth rod installed when your panels were wired in?
  9. I think you need to be more patient, he’s doing this on his own time for free so you cannot keep asking every few days
  10. I have a similar requirement for my parents
  11. I see some pricing here: https://loadshedder.co.za/shop/
  12. Why are none of you sharing what inverter is being used?
  13. madness_za replied to a post in a topic in Classifieds
Really? Because I got 555w Jinkos for 2300 quite easily
  14. What inverter? Pure sine wave or modified sine wave?
  15. I can vouch for inverter warehouse https://www.inverter-warehouse.co.za/

Powerforum store and Inverter Warehouse have the Sunsynks at very competitive prices at the moment
  18. Yes it would
  19. You’re running 2 x 12v batteries? That works out to 10ish V per battery which is definitely too low
  20. As with other recent threads, it’s highly likely your existing Lead acid batteries Are kaput. The default cutoff for the inverter is likely 12v or lower, and running the batteries down to that level just a few times kills them
  21. madness_za replied to JuliaK's topic in Batteries
Pretty sure you can set a specific cut off SOC % to prevent you draining the battery completely. Sunsynk users can chime in where to find the correct setting. Otherwise you can manually switch it off completely. fyi panels make a world of difference if you can afford them
  22. My Jinko 555 were delivered today, they're a gloss black
  23. What batteries? What load is on the inverters when this happens?
  24. Read the thread you just posted in. It’s likely the batteries are kaput
