So, update: I received the capacitors today, and installed them in the inverter.. MIRACLE! The inverter is back to life like nothing happened lol. Can't believe a tiny capacitor can do that. I replaced the two 16v 1000uF ones only as I found it very hard to find any other capacitor replacements. There was visual evidence that the capacitors (C78 and C79) were both goners. @BritishRacingGreen and @Coulomb Thank you so much for your valuable contribution to this thread. Saved me from needing to purchase a new inverter just due to two small capacitors.

Hi @Coulomb and @BritishRacingGreen, I seem to have be the latest victim to this type of failure. I am actually currently in the USA, but my cousin reported the error after the inverter failed and did the whole relay-clicking and blinking LCD screen on attempted start up. Purchased some capacitors and will recap upon my return to SA on Sunday. Your assumption seems to be coming true. I'll let you know if it does the trick or if I find any other issues.

I purchased a grounding box - I suspect after doing research that it may have something to do with grounding. I will keep you updated if it helps once I get it.

Hi All! I hope you're having a great day. Has anyone had any experience in using the BMS Communication Box found here (Raru) and many other places? RCT - BMS Communication Box for Using Lithium Batteries On RCT Axpert Inverters | Raru I have a BSL Lithium battery, and an Axpert 5kVA RCT-AXPERT 5K (running firmware 73.00e). I would like the inverter to talk to the battery, but don't want to purchase if it won't achieve this. Thanks so much in advance!

I ran additional tests as follows: 1) Unplugged the AC input - the battery voltage reported by the inverter ended up going far too high. 2) Plugged the AC input back in, but kept it off (i.e. there was no input recorded) - again, the battery voltage reported by the inverter was inaccurately high. 3) Plugged the AC input back in, and turned it on. AC input was recording correctly and the battery voltage reported by the inverter was correct when comparing to the multimeter recording. Not sure if this makes any difference or provides better insight.

Hi Moffat, Thank you for the information. Here is the watchpower error/fault log: I switched off the AC power input at the wall socket at around 16:21:36 and fault 52 ended up showing on the inverter. However, in my understanding, Bus Soft start Fail is error 09? Again, a simple hard reset using the DC circuit breaker between the battery and the inverter allowed me to use the inverter.

I've attached some watchpower setting screenshots to show the setup. It's currently cloudy, so not much PV production at the moment.
