Thank you everyone for your help. I have decided to go with the Solis 6kw hybrid and run it in off grid mode. I cannot beat the Powerforum store for price. Even if they add courier costs to i, they still come under their nearest competitor.

I personally would Recommend the SOLIS S6 Advanced 5 and 6 KW advanced they are both silent inverters they have an internal fan but you have to stand very close to the inverter and the inverter has to work very hard to hear it the fan only comes on in extreme conditions and is barely audible.
I have 2 x 6KW units in Parallel in off grid mode they make zero noise the only noise you will hear is when you run the generator and the generator relay closes.
Full Swap Out Warranty and short turnaround.
Easy inverter based generator integration so you can use a smaller generator than the rating of the inverter you can also set the power input rating on the generator input.
    Aux output function.
    ATS auto start function.
Generator integration on Gen/AUX port or utility incoming port.
Frequency Shifting Input Function on the Aux Port 1 to 1 ratio.
Extended Warranty from 5 to 10 Years available.
    Remote Management.
    NRS 097 Certified.
10 second, 200% surge power backup overload capability.
Uninterrupted power supply with 4ms reaction time.
    Built in earth neutral bond.
MPPT Startup and production voltage only 90VDC.
    High voltage 600 VDC MPPT.
High capacity MPPT 8000 watt on the 5KW and 9600 Watt on the 6KW
    Supports Large Solar panels.
    True Hybrid Inverters.
Supports 6 in parallel in single or 3 phase configuration.
Built-in AFCI n on the MPPT (Arc Fault Detection).
    Peak shaving function.
    Export limitation function.

I can also recommend the aboce mentioned Solis, it does have internal fans, but it only kicks in when it's necessary. It also doesn't feedback when backflow power is set to 0.

It does seem silent off grid are few and far that are silent. My Deye hybrid is quiet but far a faint buzz from time to time. The previous reply was for the quiet Solis.
Sorry but they don't appeal to you as they are hybrids.

Chris G got a reaction from King4King in Luxpower SNA5000WPV to Dyness A481000 communication problem
I have been having a bad day but it has turned good.
When setting up the Luxpower to Dyness battery communication cable it does not work as advertised.  Dyness supplies you with the communication cable marked LUX. Put it in storage as it won't work.  Use the 1 to 1 cable marked Goodwe instead.  This advice I got from David of Luxpower head office.  It was confirmed by Tour Shen of Dyness technical support, whose contact details I found elsewhere on this forum.  It appears as if Luxpower has changed the pin out of the can port without updating the documentation.  There is a sticker on the luxpower box indicating the wiring change but that is a bit misleading. I hope this advice helps someone else

Chris G got a reaction from Scorp007 in Wrong settings on JK BMS on prebuilt battery pack
I bought a newer style  bms from Lithium cells in Pretoria as I wanted the bms connection and display they come with.  I believe this problem has been sorted out now

You may find, someone selected LTO cells on the BMS and hence the settings...

    This I can agree with.
As the tech of these BMSes could be 8-24 cells and also LTO and both current lithiums techs it could be that the BMS was set up correctly and someone logged in and reselected LTO and thus the wrong settings were chosen by default as you mentioned.
These versatile units I do belief the user should at least look at the manual for the JK. There are so many settings as you yourself know.
I personally think errors on a BMS will be far less forgiving than on an inverter as with the inverter the correctly set up BMS does offer protection.
    Just my 2c.
@Chris G The manual for the BMS does contain the setting ranges normally used by the 3 types of lithium batteries. It's handy to keep it around or even the electronic copy.

Indeed also no cabling between the battery and the inverter everything is integrated including the DC Isolator and on the PV side you only need the type 1 type 2 SPD devices no PV combiner boxes needed and also proper plugs to connect all the inputs and outputs to the inverter no silly connector blocks that can break
They claim that the inverter and the battery can be fully installed in 30 Minutes this will reduce labor time wasted considerably ..

Chris G reacted to Venom in Cable crimping help needed
LOL 🤣😂🤣😂, first off I like tools and I help friends crimp there cables for their systems. One last thought I also have a vehicle parked in my garage that I probably drove 3 months ago because of covid. With the luxury of Sixty 60 and other delivery service I don't have to leave the house to buy groceries and I work from home. Sell my vehicle and use a Uber no thankyou safer off using my vehicle when I need to, maybe the same applies to my crimper I use once every now and again 🤷‍♂️.
