  1. Did you notice any changes on your 12kw inverter?
  2. I see there's a new 6.1kw version also.
  3. All the surge protection installed have green indicators. Is there anything in the bottom section of the inverter I can check?
  4. Hi everyone. Got a F18 AC over current fault on Sunsynk inverter after a nearby lightning strike. I have DC and AC surge protection on the system as well as additional lightning protection in the DB board. The system just restarted after the fault and everything seems to be fine. Is there anything I should be worried about? Is there anything to check? All the surge protection have green indicators.
  5. The Sunsynk 3 phase inverter manages this automatically. I have three geysers - one on each phase and it spreads the load evenly. So if each geyser is pulling 3kW and my panels are producing 6kW then each phase will get 2kW solar power and 1kw battery/eskom power
  6. Hi all. There was a very close lightning strike in Meyersdal today. When the lightning struck the power in the whole house went down for 10seconds. I have a Sunsynk inverter with surge protection on the inverter and surge protection in the DB board - all the indicators are still green and everything seems fine still. Does anyone know the reason for the loss of power during that time?
  7. Battery discharge amps. C rating is discharge amps / battery capacity. So 0.75C would be 72amps discharge
  8. Thank you for taking the time to reply Bruce. Your Greenrich batteries are awesome.
  9. Agreed. Mine is set to 0.75C it works great.
  10. Its 2C for short bursts and it can do 1.5C continuously.
  11. I am in the process of replacing my Leviton/HAI home automation system and I about to pull the trigger on a HDL Buspro system. Does anyone have any opinions on this brand or can they suggest alternatives. The DIY solutions (Sonoff etc.) are not an option for me.
  12. Great small setup. Good price also. How is the Luxpower compared to your Sunsynk inverter? Is it the LXP version?
  13. This site is a scam site. Their offices do not exist. It is the same address as phase-energy.co.za which is a scam.
  14. That restart SOC is quite high. I know it is the default value but on a 24kWh battery it can be much lower.
  15. I don't feel the tingle when there is loadshedding is there a way to test? I don't have a multimeter.
  16. If the regulations say otherwise that might be problem if something goes wrong.
  17. @Nexuss& @Scorp007 what does SANS 10142 say about earth neutral bonds? I saw a discussion on the Sunsynk facebook group saying that a permanent EN bond is required according to the regulations. Should I add a relay or permanent bond?
  18. Yes I have different batteries to you. I had a W31 warning intermittently but that is sorted. Try updating to the latest firmware and see if you can run your batteries through the CAN port.
  19. Yes it is older. Mine shipped with this firmware that you have. I had weird data showing on the non-essential loads. The latest one is: M 2005-1123 / S 18-07 / C 1001-E030
  20. Do you know if they can be repaired locally if something goes wrong?
  21. So I really think there's a bug on the system timer on 12kw inverters. Please check and confirm if you guys also have this bug. If you set the power limit on the system timer to a lower value does it limit the discharge rate of the battery? On my inverter it doesn't do anything and the battery keeps discharging at a higher rate. Initially, setting the timer to start and end at midnight solved the issue but now that also doesn't work. I am on the latest firmware.
  22. 50A is on the older spec sheets and the Deye 12kw also has 50amp. My incoming ac breaker is at 63amp but I haven't gone close to 12kw yet on essentials.
  23. When grid is off it can do 6KW on one phase and the remaining 6kw can be split anyway between the other two phases. There is a Deye youtube video explains it. When the grid is available that is where things get unclear.
  24. Black frames on the panels look so good.
